Under 13
Nenagh Under 13A team played Borrisoleigh on Tuesday evening in MacDonagh park. As the Autumn evening drew in, the match unfolded as both a competitive and highly entertaining game with some excellent skills and determination on display from both teams. This was particularly evident in the match up’s between the staunch Nenagh Éire Óg backs and the nifty Borrisoleigh forwards with both groups in full flow as they saw the vast majority of the action during both halves of the game. Despite the competitive nature of the match Borrisoleigh ran out convincing winners as the Borris boys found the Nenagh Éire Óg net on five occasions while Nenagh just couldn’t generate the necessary momentum in order to rattle the Borris goal. Well done to this group of Nenagh Éire Óg boys who put in a gallant effort right through to the end of the game.

Specsavers virtual kick about
Specsavers are running a national media campaign as part of their sponsorship of the GAA nationally and have asked for our support. They are looking for children to virtually pass a gaelic football from Killarney to Croke Park for the All-Ireland football final.
To take part a child receives a football from the left hand side of the camera shot, caught and is kicked out the right.
Any child from Nenagh Éire Óg who wishes to be put forward for it can do so by wearing their club gear and completing a video. The video can be posted on the WhatsApp groups or directly to the coaches of their group. If there is more than one video per group the coaches can decide on the best one.
We will send a few of our best videos to Specsavers. Creativity in the videos will help. Anyone interested please complete the video before Friday 13th August.

U19 Hurling
A reminder to please complete the health questionnaire each morning of the camp. A number of people still haven’t added “Cúl Camp” to their Foireann profile and will not be allowed to enter if they don’t. It will speed up admission hugely if people can complete it before 9.00 each morning as completed names are recorded on the roll rather than delaying checking the phone.
Each day the roll call will be taken at the entry to the inside field. There is a fence set up for people to queue in an orderly and socially distant fashion. Any adults, please wear a face covering at drop off and collection times. Collections will take place at the same place. We will ask older siblings to bring younger ones out with them. The youngest groups will be last out and handed over to parents. Please be extremely vigilant in the car park. Parking on the road may be necessary also due to the large numbers.
The camp starts at 10.00 each day and finishes at 14.00. There are two short breaks for the children to have a healthy pack lunch and plenty of water. Please encourage the children to use the bins provided.
Please ensure the children have raincoats or change of top. Usual equipment for hurling, football – helmet, hurl, shin guards, gumshield, etc.
Any parent that can volunteer to help out please text Niall, anyone with availability for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday would be very welcome.
Éire Óg Juvenile Club will be running a Swap Shop for Éire Óg gear in July. All funds raised will go to The Children’s Ark Paediatric Unit at University Hospital, Limerick. Families and players are asked to pull out & wash any club gear that is no longer being used but still in good condition.
