We had a very special GAA community morning on Saturday last in MacDonagh Park as the Long Puck competition in aid of the Dillon Quirke Foundation was held. Thanks to everyone who helped organise this event and to everyone who took part on the day. The following were the winners in the different categories:
Camogie: U12 Naoise Kelly & U14 Carli Walsh
Juvenile: U11 Donagh Farrell, U13 Cian Ryan & U15 Éanna Tucker
Adult: Killian Malone
Over 40: Cathal Farrell.
Well done to all our winners and special congratulations to father and son Cathal and Donagh Farrell who both won prizes in their categories.
A total of €570 was raised – this will be donated to the Dillon Quirke Foundation.

North Tipp Presentation Night
The North Tipp Presentation Night took place on Friday night last in Kilruane MacDonagh’s GAA Complex in Cloughjordan. Two Nenagh Éire Óg players were honoured with player of the year awards in 2022 with Jake Morris receiving the Senior Hurler award and Cian Carmody receiving the U19B Footballer award. On the night Club President, Jimmy Morris, accepted the award on behalf of grandson Jake while Cian Carmody was present to accept his award. 2022 senior captain, Barry Heffernan, was also present to collect the North senior medals won in 2022 – well done to all.

Come Dine With Me
Date for your Diary – The Club are holding a Come Dine with me on Friday 3rd March in the HiB. This is a One Club event with tickets available from the senior camogie and juvenile clubs. Tickets cost €30 and are limited so book yours now by texting 086 085 5165. Great night guaranteed – celebrity chef and more details to follow next week.

Lotto
There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 12, 16, 27 & 30.

Easter Camp
The Club are running an Easter Gaelic Games Camp on April 4th, 5th & 6th, from 10am to 1pm.
This is open to boys and girls up to the age of 12 and costs €40 per child. To book or for further information contact Niall at 087 408 6439.
All Ireland Colleges Win
Croke Cup Quarter Final
MacDonagh Park was once again a busy place on Saturday when, following the Long Puck in the morning, the field hosted the All Ireland schools quarter final between St Kieran’s Kilkenny and St Raphaels from Loughrea. Once again thanks to everyone who helped out to ensure that all ran smoothly on the day – Kierans ran out winners to reach the semi final of the Croke Cup.
