Membership

Membership for 2023 is now due and can be paid through Foireann.ie.

If you are already set up on Foireann simply login and select and pay your membership type here. If you do not have an account, go to Foireann.ie and choose the New user – Register option – once you have set up an account your membership can then be paid here.

We encourage all when they are paying their membership this year to do this through Foireann – any queries on this please contact Enda Long at 087 221 3954. Membership can also be paid to Enda Long or any Committee member.

For insurance purposes we ask all our players to please pay their membership ASAP before training starts over the next few weeks.

Membership rates remain the same as last year and are as follows:

Full Membership – €50

Student/OAP/Unemployed/Juvenile – €30

Family options are also available as follows:

Option 1 – One adult + multiple U18s – €80

Option 2 – Two adults + multiple U18s – €100

Thanks to all those who availed of our membership offers last year, your payment/membership details will now be updated on Foireann.

National Clubs Draw

Over the coming weeks the club will be selling tickets for the National Clubs Draw. Once again the top prize this year is a car with many other great prizes to be won. Tickets cost €10 and are available through the senior, camogie and juvenile clubs. All support for this draw is greatly appreciated.

Lotto

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 7, 12, 26 & 28.

The 3 X €50 lucky dip winners this week are:

Next week’s lotto Jackpot will be €5,500 and will take place on Tuesday 7th Feb.

As the lotto starts again in 2023, we thank everyone for continuing to support our lotto. If you have not yet joined the lotto or if your ticket has recently expired (check recent emails from Clubforce to check status of your ticket), please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.

Late Late Appearance

Nenagh native Daryl McCormack made his debut Late Late show appearance last Friday night. Daryl, who played for Nenagh Éire Óg up to minor level, has been nominated for two British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) for his role in Good Luck to You, Leo Grande.

This was a super interview by Daryl and it was great to hear the special mention he had for Nenagh and his playing days with Nenagh Éire Óg.

We all join in wishing Daryl the very best in both his BAFTA nominations and in his future acting career.

Hurley/Helmet Requests

We had a great response to our hurley and helmet collection last week with over 100 hurleys collected and a number of helmets also dropped off. All hurleys will now be shortened, fixed up and distributed to the primary schools in the town. Thanks to everyone who took the time to support this.

Every Step Counts Challenge/Ireland Lights Up Walks

The Every Step Counts challenge and Ireland Lights Up Walks will continue to run over the coming weeks. You can take part in the Every Step Counts challenge by downloading the MyLife App and register under Nenagh Éire Óg. This challenge will run until 15th February so there’s still plenty of time to join and help us reach the target.

The club’s Ireland Lights Up walks are continuing with the walk on again this Thurs evening at 7pm from the Complex, please wear a Hi Vis. So join in both challenges and let’s get walking for 2023.

First Aid Donation

Sincere thank you to the Finn family, Ryans Pharmacy Nenagh, who kindly sponsored ‘top up’ supplies for all First Aid kits to our juvenile groups in advance of the 2023 hurling and football season.

In 2022 the Finn family kindly sponsored new Care Plus First Aid Kits for each of the underage groups. Pictured is Pierce Finn Snr. & Pierce Finn Jnr. presenting the First Aid kits to some of our fantastic coaches including Niall Cahill our Juvenile Club Chairperson.

Kind gestures & positive community spirit like this are some of key elements to helping our club thrive. Thanks once again & remember to shop local.

Code of Ethics, Conduct and Practice and Respect Documents

As training will recommence over the coming weeks for all groups, it is timely to remind all associated with the club of the two very important club documents which were re-launched in early December – the Code of Ethics, Conduct and Practice Document and the Respect Document – both of these documents are now available on our club website at the link below:

Munster Champions

Well done to St Mary’s Nenagh who defeated Coáiste an Piarsaigh, Glanmire in the Munster Senior B Schools Final on Sat last. Special mention to the Nenagh Éire Óg girls who were part of this panel.

Best of luck to St Marys in their All Ireland semi final next Saturday, 4th Feb, when they play Gorey CS.
