Condolences
We extend our sympathies to the family of Michael ‘Rabbit’ Ryan who sadly passed away today. Rabbit, as he was known to us all, was a lifelong member and diehard supporter of Nenagh Éire Óg. From attending the games to being part and parcel of the post match analysis/celebrations/post mortems, Rabbit’s quick wit and great sense of humour and fun will never be forgotten and he will be sadly missed by all in Nenagh Éire Óg.
To his wife Una, sister Chris, brother Denis, the extended Ryan family and his many friends, we offer our sincere sympathies. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Our footballers played host to two teams from west of the Shannon on Sunday morning last. Both our teams gave a really good account of themselves against really good opposition. Fantastic skills on show from both our boys and the Roscommon teams. All of the boys enjoyed some well deserved refreshments afterwards in the complex. A great mornings football and a big thanks to Tulsk and St Croans for making the trip to Tipp.

Speaking on the announcement, Store Director of Specsavers Nenagh, Orlagh Moynihan said: ‘Like many communities across Ireland, the local GAA club plays a key role in bringing people in the community together. The success of our business is thanks to the continued support of the local people and that it why we are delighted to continue this partnership. This announcement reflects our commitment to nurturing these successes and supporting the club’s bright future.’
Nenagh Éire Óg club Treasurer Jim Nagle expressed: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to have Specsavers Nenagh on board with us again. Their support over the years has been invaluable, and their renewed commitment is a huge vote of confidence in our club and what we’re building here in the community. U10
Played Kiladangan on Wednesday night in Puckane. All the girls played three games each and had a great time. Training continues on Monday night 6pm.
U12
Had another busy week with our Navy team taking on a strong Toomevara team. The girls put up a great fight and were only one score behind at halftime before Toomevara eventually pulled away in the second half.
Our Blue team played Kiladangan and again even though the result did not go our way the girls gave a good account of themselves. Two more games for the girls this week against Borrisoleigh and Lorrha.
U14
We played away to Holycross Ballycahill last Thursday evening in their championship quarter final. They were just 0-4 to 0-3 up at half time and faced into a strong wind in the second half.
Despite sustaining serious pressure upfront, including two penalties, they came away with a win 2-4 to 0-4. There were some super performances all around the park but special mention must go to Lucyanne Cleary who scored 1-3 and goalkeeper Naoise Kelly who saved at least three clear goal chances including a penalty late in the second half. Next up is the semi final against Brian Borus, date and time to be confirmed.

Last Sunday marked a very special day in the Éire Óg Juvenile Club competitive calendar as our three under 13 football teams contest North Tipperary finals at A, C & D grade.
Up first were our young Under 13D team who played Silvermines in Borrisoleigh. After a nail-biting finish Nenagh emerged as champions and captain Ruaidhri O’Brien duly lifted the trophy to the resounding cheers of the team and their families. Having grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins present for this win made it even more special for the boys.

The boys played superb football and could have had a flurry of goals on the first half but for some very solid goalkeeping from Borrisokane. The Nenagh boys gave it everything right up to the final whistle but Borrisokane emerged champions. Congratulations to Borrisokane and best wishes in the county stages. Well done to the Nenagh C team, they were a credit to themselves.

The Nenagh boys ran out winners to be crowned North A Tipperary champions with Fionn Tucker hoisting the cup to the Nenagh supporters delight. This Noth A football winners title is a back to back accolade for the management group, well done and congratulations to all involved.
