Co Development League Silver (12 a side) Final – Nenagh Éire Óg 2-10 Burgess Duharra 4-0
Our girls played some fantastic camogie to end their season with a win in their league final.
With a strong cross-field breeze, the Nenagh girls started strongly and were soon 1-2 to 0-0 up, following a great catch, turn and strike from Laura Gleeson. Nenagh dominated the first half thanks to some strong running and scoring from Player of the Match Sailí O’Connor and we went in 2-4 to 0-0 up at half time.
Burgess came out fighting and in a ten minute period after half time, they found the net 4 times, with no reply from Nenagh. Moving Laura Gleeson from full forward to half back steadied the ship for Nenagh and through some great play from the forwards, we picked off our points to pull clear and win by four points. Thanks and hard luck to the Burgess girls for a great game.
