Éire Óg edge a cracking contest with Clonoulty-Rossmore at The Ragg
The Blues booked their place in the last sixteen of the county senior hurling championship as Roinn I group one winners, but only after a ferocious battle with Clonoulty-Rossmore at The Ragg on Sunday evening. Éire Óg led by six points at one stage, but Michael Ferncombe’s side fought back brilliantly to force the issue. Liam Heffernan’s team clung on well, however, in a dramatic finish to register a vital one-point win.

Nenagh Éire Óg Weekly Notes
Liam Heffernan’s senior team recorded a big win over Ballina this week while the junior A Camogie made history in qualifying for a first-ever county league final. Meanwhile the under-16A footballers are preparing to take on Inane Rovers in the north final and don’t forget that you can now register for the up-coming Blues 10K.

Cian Tucker’s junior Bs register first win of the year in Toomevara
Cian Tucker’s junior B squad recorded their first win of the year following an entertaining clash with Toomevara at St Michael’s Park, Toomevara on Sunday afternoon. And, it was no more than the Blues deserved following some tremendous performances in their previous league clashes when a series of brave efforts came up just short.

Éire Óg see off Cashel in junior A league semi-final at The Ragg
The junior A Camogie team crossed another milestone today by qualifying for the club’s first-ever junior A league final in only the second year competing at this grade after a well-deserved four-point win over Cashel Camogie Club.

Nenagh Éire Óg Weekly Notes
Supporters of the Blues are in for a treat this week with the minor A, junior B, junior A and senior team all in competitive action. Meanwhile our junior A Camogie team are in league semi-final action while our commiserations go out to the four Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie players who missed out on an All-Ireland minor medal on Saturday when Kilkenny beat Tipperary in a dramatic encounter at Birr. And, on the juvenile front our under-16A footballers have qualified for a north final against Inane Rovers!

Although the junior A and junior B hurlers suffered narrow league defeats the junior A Camogie team earned a terrific win and four of the Blues’ players are this week preparing to play with Tipperary in next Saturday’s All-Ireland minor final.

Cian Tucker’s junior B hurlers suffered an agonising one-point league defeat to Newport at MacDonagh Park on Sunday evening. The Blues recovered a four-point interval deficit only to be denied by a late Newport surge.
