Junior Hurling
Hard luck to our Junior As who lost out by 3 points to Toomevara in the final round of the Championship last Friday. The score was 2 – 21 to 1 – 21 with Cian O’Farrell getting the Nenagh goal.
This result means we finish 4th in the table and are now due to play Ballinahinch in the North semi final on Friday 18th August, fixture TBC.
U19 Hurling
Well done to our U19s who defeated Roscrea in Round 4 of the U19A championship last Wed evening on a scoreline of 1 – 19 to 1 – 12, our goal coming from Aodhán O’Connor.
They now play Ballina in Round 5 on this Wed evening at 7.30pm in Ballina. Already qualified for the semi-final, the result here will decide on the final placing.

Condolences
We extend our sympathies to the family of Eugene Hackett who sadly passed away this week.
Eugene played hurling and football with Nenagh Éire Óg in his younger days and was part of the great minor and U21 teams of the late 70s who won North and County Hurling titles.
Eugene was also on the Junior team in 1983 who won North and County Junior A hurling titles and the Junior football group who won the North title in 1985 and North and County Junior A football in 1986.

The under 11 hurlers travelled to Borris-Ileigh on Saturday morning for their next round of fixtures. A wet and windy evening ensured that both teams had to dig in really hard, which they duly did. Good effort and performances from all the boys so well done to all. Thanks to all parents for making the trip over to Borris with the boys.
Next up is a home game against Burgess next weekend. All of the boys are encouraged to keep practising when possible. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday for hurling unless we have a match.
