Senior Hurling
Well done to our seniors who had a 5 – 15 to 1 – 15 win over JK Brackens in Round 2 of the County Championship at the weekend. Mikey Heffernan scored our first half goal with goals in the second half coming from Barry Heffernan (penalty), Adam Carey, Philip Hickey and Cian Crowley.
We now play Mullinahone in Round 3 , this game has been fixed for Sunday, 27th August at 2pm in Templetuohy. A win or draw in this game will see us take second place in the group with Drom already topping the group.

Under 13
Our Under 13 boys had a very busy week, on Tuesday, all three teams played Newport in MacDonagh Park.
In the D match, after a great battle the teams couldn’t be separated. In the C match Newport were too strong for our boys, to their credit the boys battled to the end. The A game was very one sided as Newport were missing numerous starters. Then on Friday evening in Newport, our A panel played Newport in a playoff match. After a great performance in very difficult conditions for both teams, the boys won on a score of 2.8 to 1.8. Adam Quigley and Fionn Tucker scored the goals in a fine team performance. The boys will now play the winners of Roscrea and Ballina in the North semi-final on Tuesday 22nd.
The Quarter finals started this week and our D panel lost out to Roscrea on Tuesday evening. Our C panel will play Borrisokane in Ballinderry in their North quarter final on Wednesday.
Best of luck to all the boys involved, it’s great to have over 40 boys getting so many games.
Training this week is Friday at 8 and Sunday at 10. New players always welcome, contact Niall on 087 408 6439.
