Senior Hurling
Our senior hurlers lost out by 2 points to Drom & Inch in Round One of the Co Championship last weekend.
The score in the game was 2 – 18 to 1 – 20 with Tommy Heffernan getting our goal late on in the game.
We now play JK Brackens in Round Two, this game is due to be played on Saturday 12th of August at 1.30pm in Dolla.
Junior Hurling
We will play Toomevara in the fifth and final round of the Junior A Championship on Fri next, 4th August in Cloughjordan.
A win here will ensure we qualify for the knockout stages of the championship.
U19 Hurling
Well done to our U19s who defeated Borrisoleigh in Round 3 of the U19A championship last Wed evening on a scoreline of 4 – 19 to 2 – 14, our goals coming from Taurai Shayanewako, Ben Connolly, Zac Keller and Sam OFarrell. They now play Roscrea in Round 4 on this Wed evening at 7pm in MacDonagh Park.
Lotto
There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 7, 9, 17 & 21.

JUVENILE NEWS
Nenagh Éire Óg Summer Camp
The 2023 Nenagh Éire Óg Summer Camp will run from August 15th to 17th, Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 1pm, €40 per child. Contact Niall on 087 4086439 to enrol.
Under 5
Training for under 5 boys is on Saturday mornings at 10am on the club astro. Contact John on 087 1365053 to join up.
Under 7
The under 7 boys hosted Ballina on Saturday morning. Great hurling by both sides and plenty of fun. Thanks to Michael Gilmartin for the post match ice creams, they went down a treat.
Training continues at 10 am on Saturday mornings at the club grounds. Mid week training is on Wednesday from 6 to 7. All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try, contact Erica on 086 8774496.
Under 7 boys who played Ballina last week
Under 9
The under 9 boys will take part in the county hurling blitz this coming week.Training continues Tuesday evening 6-7.15pm and Saturday morning 10-11.15am. We love to see new faces coming along, boys born in 2014/15 are very welcome to come and give it a try, contact Alan on 087 7518789.
Under 11
Our under 11 footballers were out in action in the Gaelic Grounds Limerick on Saturday morning last taking on Éire Óg Ennis from Clare, Monaleen and finally Dromcolloger/Broadford, both from Limerick. A great morning was had by all the boys. A big thanks to Limerick Senior Footballer Peter Nash who took the boys on a stadium tour and answered some great questions from the boys. Peter was very generous with his time and gave the boys lots of great tips on how to prepare and be the best they can be on the GAA field, so thank you Peter!
On Monday evening our Under 11 hurlers will play Toomevara in our next round of North Tipperary hurling fixtures in McDonagh Park.
Next Saturday morning we travel to Borris-Ileigh for round 4 of fixtures. A busy week ahead for the boys so keep up the practice where possible. Training continues on Tuesday at 6 for both hurling and football and then on Friday at 6 for hurling unless we have a match. All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try, contact Cathal on 086 0806460.
Under 13
Our Under 13 boys played a challenge against Monaleen in Limerick this week. Thanks to Monaleen for hosting us.
This week all three teams were out in match action – the C team lost out to Borrisokane on Monday while the A & D teams had mixed fortunes in Roscrea on Tuesday with the D team winning well and the A team losing out by 2 points.
Training this week is Wednesday at 7 and Sunday at 11 unless we have a match. New players always welcome, contact Niall on 087 408 6439.
Under 15
Our Under 15 boys played Borris-Ileigh during the week, after a thrilling match the boys came away with a draw. The boys play Newport next in Newport on Thursday evening at 7pm. Training this week is Tuesday at 7.15.

Rachel Maher and the Tipperary Junior team face Clare in the All-Ireland Final on Sunday 6th of August in Croke Park. We wish Rachel, the Tipperary Team and Management the best of luck in the upcoming final.
Healthy Club
Nenagh Éire Óg Hurling and Football Club and Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie Club are taking part in the Irish Life GAA Healthy Club Project. This aims to help clubs identify what they are already doing well, identify areas where they can or would like to improve, and empower them to ensure that everyone who engages with their club benefits from the experience in a health-enhancing way, be they players, officers, coaches, parents, supporters, or members of their local community.
