Junior A League
The Junior As will play Toomevara in Round Three of the league on Fri next at 7pm in Toomevara.
Development Update
Progress on the new field has been steady over the last number of weeks with the drains finished this week and the topsoil and sand due to be completed next week.
The sowing of the grass seed will be weather dependant but the target date for this work to be complete is the first week in July.
Aerial photos and videos below taken recently show how well the new field is progressing and how it is taking shape.

Under 11 boys competed in the annual Michael Hogan Festival of Football this weekend with Nenagh the venue for one of our teams and Thurles Gaels playing host to our other team.
In Thurles the boys competed exceptionally well, playing great football against Toomevara, Thurles Gaels and Upperchurch-Drombane. Three really positive performances and results meant they qualified for the final game vs JK Brackens. Once again a super performance was put in by the boys who just came up marginally short against a really good JK Brackens team.
The team in Nenagh also topped their group with Ardfinnan, Newport & JK Brackens before missing out to a very strong Mullinahone team. Very encouraging day and important the boys keep up the hard work. All in the club are really proud of the effort and performance put in by the boys.
Plan for next week is a hurling game on Wednesday evening away to Murroe at 7 followed by football game away to Newport on Saturday the 10th. Due to the number of matches at the moment, we will have no training this coming week.
All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try, contact Cathal on 086 0806460.

Well done to Jake Houlihan and the Tipperary under 16 hurlers who played Antrim in Abbeystown Dublin last weekend where Tipperary won by 5 points. Jake started at centre back and added 1-02 from play, a super effort by Jake and the Tipperary U16 team.
Well done also to Billy O’Brien and the Tipperary U16 hurlers who played Cork at the weekend and came away with a well fought win by a point. Billy lined out at mid field for the full game. Well done Billy.
Training this week as usual.

Our first team girls played Cahir in the Plate semi-final last Monday evening in Borris-Ileigh. The girls built up a 7 point lead early in the 2nd half. However Cahir were not done and put over 4 points of their own to narrow the gap to 3 with minutes to go. We held out for the win and went through to the final. Hard luck to Cahir.
On Thursday evening, we played Shannon Rovers in the Plate final in Lorrha. A strong start from Rovers saw us go 2-2 to 0-0 down after 7 minutes. We gradually got a foothold from there on and built a 3 point lead heading toward the final whistle.
Rovers however were not finished and scored a 3rd goal on the stroke of full time to level it. Again, our girls attacked and in fact won a free in front of the goal in injury time, only to see it come agonizingly back off the upright. The game finished in a draw and goes to a replay. Well done to both teams on a most entertaining game.
Final score: Éire Óg 1-9 Shannon Rovers 3-3 (Replay TBC)
Training continues Monday and Thursday 7-8pm.
