Junior A Hurling League
Our Junior As were defeated by Toomevara in last weekend’s Round 3 game – the score in the game was 2 – 25 to 2 – 20 with Sean Phelan and Darragh Walsh getting the Nenagh goals.
This result means we finished second in the group and now play Ballinahinch in the League semi-final on Fri evening next at 7.30 in Shalee.
MacDonagh Park
It has been a busy few days in MacDonagh Park. On Sat last the U14 Football A & B All Ireland Football Finals took place with big crowds from competing counties Clare, Wicklow, Mayo and Cork attending. Thanks to all who prepared the facilities beforehand and to all who helped out with the large crowds on Saturday.
This was followed up on Monday with a sports day for primary schools in Nenagh District organised by Gardaí in the Nenagh district.
Up to 32 schools attended this event with approximately 200 participants in total.
The winning team on the day was 6th class from CBS Primary school and they were presented with a shield in memory of Garda Deirdre Darcy and Garda Sinead Hennessy. Well done to the winners and to all who took part on the day.
The Garda Mounted Unit, the Garda Water Unit and the Armed Support units were in attendance afterwards for all the participants to engage with.

Scrap Metal Collection Fundraiser

Cúl Camp
Cúl Camp for this summer is now taking enrolments, go to https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking to secure a place for your child.
Under 5
Training for under 5 boys is now underway on Saturday mornings at 10am on the club astro. Contact John on 087 1365053 to join up.
Under 7
Training continues at 10 am on Saturday mornings at the club grounds. Mid-week training is on Wednesday from 6 to 7.

Under 9
Under 9 boys played a hurling blitz with Kilruane McDonaghs on Saturday morning last in Nenagh. Both teams did really well displaying great skills throughout.
Training continues Tuesday evening 6-7.15pm and Saturday morning 10-11.15am.

Under 11
Under 11 boys travelled to Murroe to play a number of hurling matches on Wednesday evening last, super performance from the boys. The boys were on the road again this time to Newport on Saturday morning last to play in two football matches, great effort and performance put in by the boys. The boys are away to Kilruane to play in football games next Saturday. Training continues on Tuesday from 6 for both hurling and football and then on Friday at 6 for hurling. All new boys are very welcome to come along and give it a try, contact Cathal on 086 0806460.
Under 13
Under 13 boys started the North Hurling League this week with all three teams in action. The C panel were defeated by Ballinahinch on Monday evening while the A & D teams were defeated by Toomevara on Tuesday.
Thanks to Silvermines for the two challenge matches in Dolla on Saturday as we prepared for the first round games. We also have a game against Murroe Boher in Limerick next weekend on Sunday at 12.30. Training on Tuesday and Friday (unless there is a match). Under 15
Under 15 boys will play Ballina in hurling on 22nd June followed by Roscrea to Monday 26th. We then participate in football Féile the following week. Hurling training this week is on Tuesday at 6:30, Thursday is football at 6:30 & Saturday will be football at 3:30.
Under 17
Training is Wednesday at 6.45 and Friday at 7.30.
CAMOGIE NEWS
Under 6
We were lucky to avoid the rain Saturday morning and continue our physical development games. A sincere thanks to all the parents that supported us with the well organised and beneficial session.
Under 12
The under 12s had two games last week against Burgess and Kilruane and great efforts were made by all the girls. Both Navy and Blue teams have matches later in the week. Training continues Monday at 6pm.
Under 14
This group played Monaleen in Limerick in a challenge match on Thursday evening last. Thanks to Monaleen for hosting us and for a sporting game. We are awaiting a fixture for the replay of the Plate Final.
Training continues Monday at 7pm and Thursday at 7:15pm.
Under 15
Training has begun for the u15 league which is due to commence in late June. The coaching team will be Michelle Long, Ella Carey, Michael Cleary and James O’Dwyer. Training Wednesday at 8pm and Sunday at 10am.
Tipperary Camogie
- Junior All Ireland Championship
Tipperary played against Wicklow in the Ragg on Saturday afternoon in Round 1 of the Junior All Ireland Championship. Tipperary won on a score line of 5-17 to 1-09.
Nenagh Éire Óg’s Rachel Maher came on in the second half of the game and made a great impact at full back. The next game for Rachel is away to Cavan on June 24th.
- Senior All Ireland Championship
Tipperary played their only home game in round 1 of the All Ireland Championship against Dublin on Saturday. Tipperary won on a score line of 2-19 to 1-06.Éire Óg’s Grace O’Brien was playing at corner forward (13) and scored a total of 4 points from play. Tipperary’s next game is away to Wexford on June 24th.
