Juvenile Notes
Easter Camp
We had the most fantastic few days of Easter Camp 2025.
The children were so happy and excited to be having such fun at the various activities with their friends and in the glorious weather too, what better way to enjoy the Easter holidays.
Terrific feedback coming in from parents on how much the camp was enjoyed by the children and how fantastic the coaches were with the children.
We can’t wait to go again with our Summer Camp in August and very much look forward to seeing everyone back at the next camp.
We had a number of new children join the camp to try Gaelic Games and we are excited to see all the new faces over at training in the coming weeks.
A huge thanks must go to Shane, his coaching team and helpers from the club, what an amazing team you all made.
As ever, our camps would not be the same without Pat McCormack, he is a pivotal figure in our promotion of Gaelic Games activities around Nenagh and knows every child by name, thanks Pat for all you do.
Thank you to John Quirke, franchisee of McDonalds Nenagh for the generous support of this year’s Easter Camp.
John came along to the final day of the Easter camp to present each of the children with a complimentary voucher for a McFlurry after all of their effort and participation in the camp over the three days.
John & the team at McDonalds were thrilled & excited to hear that with this sponsorship support the Éire Óg Juvenile Club will be able to augment their schools coaching program and cross community promotion of Gaelic Games thereby facilitating more children from the Nenagh community and surrounds to be able to participate in Gaelic games, increase their physical activity and consequently overall well-being.
We thank John and McDonalds for their kind sponsorship.
Thank you to Nenagh Éire Óg senior club sponsors Specsavers Nenagh for the thoughtful gesture of dropping in goodie bags for all of the children who attended our Easter Camp, it was a lovely surprise.
Peil na nÓg
Well done to both teams who participated in the Peil na nÓg competition at the weekend.
Team 1 played in Division 1 and played Cashel, JK Brackens & Clonmel Óg. With one loss and two wins the boys advanced to the group semi final against Newport who were the stronger outfit on the day. A great days effort from the boys.
Team 2 played in Division 7 Group B and played Clonmel Óg, Boherlahan, Dúrlas Óg and Newport. Results were two draws and two losses.
Well done to all involved.
