Community Walkathon
The May Bank Holiday Monday was a very significant day for the club for as we saw the official opening of the new Community Walkway at Éire Óg.
Slí Éire Óg was officially opened with a fun filled, sun drenched ribbon cutting by club presidents Michael Hynes, Jimmy Morris & Paudie O’Kennedy.
The large crowd that had gathered to witness this significant step forward in terms the development and expansion of club amenities were treated to a guided tour of the new Walkway – Slí Éire Óg – by Chairperson of the walkway committee and Éire Óg Healthy Club officer Deirdre O’Connor.
Slí Éire Óg extends from around the outside field to behind the stand, along the scoreboard end of the inside field, left along the link passage to bring walkers out along to the magnificent sight of the new field which has been under development for some time now and is on the cusp of being available for our younger players to grace which we are emmensely excited about.
Membership for the new walkway – Slî Éire Óg is now open and can be taken out by contacting any club officer.
The developments at Nenagh Éire Óg are not possible without the continued support of our sponsors Specsavers Nenagh Arrabawn Tipperary Analog Devices & grant aid from Tipperary County Council , sincere thanks to our sponsors and supporters.
With that, the Club has officially launched our 2025 fundraiser- Nenagh Community Walkathon.
We’re inviting local businesses, community groups, charity groups and individuals to step up and take part in our 24-hour fundraising walkathon.
This involves 24 walkathon teams walking with us in person, or virtually, in one hour slots around our Community Walkway
Funds raised will go towards growing and upgrading our facilities to support our members and serve the broader community for generations to come
Interested in partnering with us?
We are proud to collaborate with several local companies and charitable organisations already, whose members that walk in their name will raise funds for their nominated charity during the walkathon. Your business or charity group can do the same — walk to raise funds for your own chosen cause, while also supporting this vital club development.

Introducing Éire Óg’s newest county champions!
Last Tuesday evening the Under 13 boys took to the road to make the long journey to a sun-kissed Annacarty where opponents Fethard awaited the boys to battle it out for the title of Under 13A shield County Champions.
The boys put in a tremendous shift with everyone giving it thier all. The boys took an early lead and continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Fethard rallied in the second half but found it a little harder to keep the scoreboard moving in their favour.
Nenagh captain James Hynes proudly lifted the U13A county plaque on behalf of the boys and the celebrations began.
Well done to the Under 13 boys and their coaching group.
Thanks to Fethard for a good battle.
Thanks to all the Nenagh faithful who travelled to support the boys.
