For the very first time in adult Camogie Nenagh Éire Óg and Toomevara met in competitive action in a highly-entertaining encounter in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh in the third round of the junior A championship – Toomevara emerged victorious, but were pushed all the way by a determined and skilful home side.

An exciting week ahead as our junior A Camogie team return to action and our under-16A hurlers are in semi-final action against Toomevara. Although our minor A hurlers lost out at the quarter-final stage last week the Éire Óg minor A Camogie team made a very encouraging start to their respective championship on Saturday. Our thoughts are with Shane Hennessy and the Tipperary minor hurlers this week as they prepare for Sunday’s All-Ireland final while we also salute our underage stars (and coaches) who adorned the inter-county stage with the Tipperary under-14, under-15 and under-16 teams last weekend.

The Blues lost an entertaining minor A quarter-final at a windy Puckane on Wednesday evening. The Éire Óg lads gave it everything, but in the end were defeated by an impressive Kilruane team.

Another exciting week for supporters of the Blues as Éire Óg beat Mullinahone in the final of the Dr Fogarty Cup. The junior B hurlers are looking forward to a crucial clash against Shannon Rovers this weekend while there is also plenty to look forward to in the juvenile club and on the Camogie front. Nenagh Éire Óg were beaten by Roscrea in an entertaining affair at St Michael’s Park in Toomevara on Wednesday evening. A number of injuries and a little misfortune hampered the Blues’ efforts, but, thankfully, irrespective of this defeat John Manley’s men have successfully progressed to the knock-out stages of this year’s minor A hurling championship.
