The junior A Camogie team and the senior hurling team enjoyed terrific wins over Holycross-Ballycahill and Drom & Inch respectively last weekend. Please read on for all the latest news, photos, reports and fixtures!
SENIOR
Senior: On Sunday afternoon Nenagh Éire Óg battled their way into the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Championship final thanks to an extra-time win over a fantastic Drom & Inch team at Semple Stadium, Thurles (1-20 to 2-16). For a match report please see the club website.
In the county senior hurling final Nenagh Éire Óg will face defending champions Thurles Sarsfields on Sunday, October 25th in Semple Stadium, Thurles. In their respective semi-final Thurles Sarsfields beat Kilruane MacDonagh’s on a 2-20 to 1-17 scoreline.
The lads are working hard in their efforts to represent the town, their club, their families and themselves to the very best of their ability and would appreciate your support.
Training Fund: A senior hurling team training fund has been established to defray some of the inevitable expenses associated with the preparation for the county final. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Please contact any club officer for details.
Under-21A: The under-21A hurling team will face Roscrea in the opening round of this year’s championship. The fixtures schedule for that competition have not been released as of yet. This year the under-21A hurling team will be managed by Greg Browne (manager), Con Morris and Michael McNamara. The 2015 Walsh’s of Nenagh North Tipperary Under-21A Hurling Championship will be run on a knock-out-loser’s-group system. Éire Óg have been drawn against Roscrea in the opening round. Kilruane MacDonagh’s will face Ballina in a preliminary round game while the remaining first round games will see Kildangan face the winner of the Kilruane versus Ballina game and Toomevara take on Newport Gaels.
Night at the Dogs: Tickets are now on sale now for the combined juvenile and Camogie club ‘Night at the Dogs’ club fundraiser on Saturday, November 21st at Thurles Greyhound Stadium. Tickets are priced at €10 and are available from all committee members.

JUVENILE
Under-6 & Under-8: Our youngest hurlers will finish up a great season with a fun day at Adventure World in Nenagh College on Saturday. Thank you to the mentors, parents and especially the players for their dedication all year.
Under-10: Well done to the boys on winning the Kilcotton Tournament on Saturday. Training is changing this week with no hurling on Wednesday. The boys will be taking part in the club winter programme. Running at Nenagh Athletic track on Tuesday from 7.30pm to 8.30pm and strength and conditioning in the complex at 6.30pm for under-10s and under-12s. €2 covers both sessions. Under-13: Kilruane have kindly invited us to participate in their end of season tournament on October 31st.
Under-14: Well done to the under-14 hurlers who beat the Silvermines in the Ballina Tournament on Saturday last. We play Borris-Ileigh in the next round this weekend.
Winter Programme: The strength and conditioning winter programme kicks off on Tuesday, October 13th from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in the running complex. Strength and conditioning for under-14 and under-16 hurlers is on Thursdays from 7pm to 7.45pm in the complex and these boys need to bring a broom handle to training. €2 covers both sessions. All players are encouraged to attend.

NENAGH HANDBALL CLUB
Best of luck to Sinéad Meagher who will contest the girls under-16 Singles All-Ireland semi-final on Saturday in Lahorna against Connacht opposition. Eimear Meagher will also take on a girl from the west in the girls under-15 singles All-Ireland semi-final during the same programme of events which will begin at 12 noon.
Hard luck to Eamonn Spillane and Martin Kelly (Lahorna) who lost out in a very close All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday.
CAMOGIE
Junior A: Our junior side had a superb victory over Holycross-Ballycahill Camogie Club on Saturday afternoon in the championship play-off winning on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-5. This win sees us through to the county semi-final where we will face our neighbours Kildangan. This game is expected to take place this weekend.
