Presentation
As part of the Nenagh Éire Óg Community Friendly Lotto, Club Treasurer Jim Nagle presented a cheque for €500 to Noel Power Chairperson Silver Arch Family Resource Center (FRC).
Previously known as North Tipperary Community Services, FRC provides community-based support, information and advocacy services to individuals, families and groups in North Tipperary with a particular focus on those who are most disadvantaged.
The donation will go directly to funding play therapy services. Our Community Lotto was first started in June 2020 and since then Nenagh Éire Óg have donated over €7,500 from lotto funds to local charities.
Remember when you play our lotto you are also supporting charities in the area.
Community Walkway Update
Nenagh Éire Óg is thrilled to announce that the club has been awarded €69,000 from the Community Recognition Fund by Tipperary County Council, which will support the development of our planned community walkway. This funding marks a significant step forward in our efforts to create a safe, accessible, and high-quality exercise facility for the entire community.
The planned 2.5km walkway will connect St. Conlon’s Road with Stereame and has been designed with everyone in the community in mind. The club is working with Tipperary County Council because the proposed route for our walkway is part of the Nenagh Urban Cycle Network Plan from the National Transport Authority (NTA). This route is also highlighted as a key link in the Local Transport Plan for Nenagh. Once completed, it will offer a safe walkway, fenced, and illuminated route that will be available all year-round. The walkway will not only serve as a vital exercise space but also as a critical link in the local transport infrastructure, making it a valuable asset to the town of Nenagh.
Nenagh Éire Óg is committed to making this project a reality, but we recognize that it will require a collective effort. To deliver a truly first-class and safe community walkway, the club will need to secure added financial support. However, the Club plan to begin with our section of the project as soon as funds are released.
Éire Óg thanks everyone for their continued support and looks forward to working together to deliver a community walkway that will enhance the well-being and connectivity of our town.

Senior
Our Senior hurlers continue their preparations for the County Quarter Final. Nenagh Éire Óg will travel to Semple Stadium to take on Thurles on Sunday at 4pm. Wishing our players and management the very best of luck.
Junior C
Our Junior C hurlers enjoyed their first match of the season against Kilruane in Cloughjordan yesterday. The home team pulled ahead towards the end of a fiercely contested game but we can take many positives from it. It’s great to see some familiar faces and new players joining this team.
Their next game is on Sunday morning against Ballinahinch in Nenagh. Time is TBC. Best of luck to players and management.
Juvenile notes
Under 9 boys travelled to Thurles on Saturday afternoon, where they took part in a County hurling blitz. They played two games in Dr. Morris Park and their final game in Semple Stadium! Nenagh’s three teams were very competitive in all their games against Moyle Rovers, Kilruane, Ballingarry and Carrick Davins. It was a brilliant experience for the boys, with memories for life!
On Saturday morning last our Under 11 hurlers travelled over to Cloughjordan for the Paddy Quinlan Festival of Hurling. Both of our teams put in great performances against local teams Borrisokane, Moneygall, Burgess and Kilruane McDonaghs. Huge thanks to John and all involved in organising the tournament over in Kilruane. A really well organised event and we were delighted to take up the invitation.
Camogie Notes
Intermediate
We played Boherlahan/Dualla on Friday evening last in McDonagh Park in the championship third round. Although we were missing some players through injury, their replacements stepped up well for Nenagh. Boherlahan came into the game having won both their previous games with ease. Unfortunately we conceded 2 soft goals in the first half to come in at half time 3-7 to 0-6 down.
The Nenagh girls upped their game and worked their way back into the match in the second half. We had some great play to bring the lead down to 6 points with 10 minutes to go. However, Boherlahan finished the stronger and got a fourth goal and some points in the last 5 minutes to win 4-14 0-13.
We now play our re-fixed game at home to Toomevara on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm, before our quarter final at the weekend.
U16
We welcomed Holycross/Ballycahill to Nenagh last Wednesday evening for our co championship group match. Holycross came out with a fine running game in the first half and stuck in 2 goals to leave them just a couple of points behind at half time. The Nenagh girls had a purple patch at the start of the 2nd half and put away 3 goals of their own to kill off the game and ease to a comfortable win.
Next up is our final group game away to Drom & Inch on Monday evening, best of luck to players and management.
U13
We played a very good close game with Lorrha. Eventually losing out by 3.8 to 3.5. Next up for the girls are Burgess in Nenagh on Wednesday night.
U10
Travelled to Newport on Saturday morning with two teams to play in the Mary Troy Memorial tournament. We beat Boherlahan in the final with a great score from Lauren Bourke to win it for Nenagh. Lauren was also player of the tournament.
U6
Our girls had an early start in Pucaun on Saturday morning as they played Kiladangan in some very entertaining games. The girls played really well and enjoyed the morning immensely.
