Healthy Club Autumn Schedule 2024
September is always a great time to reset and plan some health and wellness goals!
Line Dancing
Classes start this evening at 8.00pm in the Nenagh Éire Óg Complex and will run until December. Suitable for all ages. Pay as you go: €5

November FIVE x FIVE Challenge
Are you looking to get active, try running, or just improve your fitness?
This is the perfect opportunity to start!
We’re launching an eight-week training plan designed for people of all ages and fitness levels, especially those new to running or returning after a break.
With our gradual plan, you’ll work your way up to a 5K run at your own pace, starting with walking and slowly building up. It’s all about feeling good, improving your health, and reaching that achievable goal of a 5K! There are lots of helpful resources online, including this Couch to 5K Plan to guide your training:
And here’s the exciting part! After the eight weeks, you’ll be ready to join us in the *November FIVE x FIVE Challenge* —where we’ll take part in five different 5K Parkruns over five Saturdays in November 2024 at locations near Nenagh:

Senior
Our Senior County Championship campaign came to a disappointing end on Sunday. Thurles Sarsfields proved to be the stronger side on the day, with a final score of 0-29 to 1-19. Thanks to the players and management for their hard work, effort, and dedication to the club throughout the season.
Junior C
Our Junior C’s had a fantastic win over Ballinahinch on Sunday last in the North Championship. The final score was 3-9 to 0-13, with two goals coming from Michael Hutchinson. We have a by this weekend, with the next game taking place on the 29th of September.

Juvenile Notes
Under 5
Under 5 boys train on Saturday mornings.
The boys headed off to Cloughjordan to play in a blitz on Saturday morning and had a super morning hurling.

Under 7
Under 7 boys train on Saturday mornings at 9am and on Wednesday from 6-7 on the outside field.
The boys played Kilruane in Cloughjordan on Saturday morning, the boys showed some great skills and determination. Thanks to Kilruane for hosting.

Under 9
Under 9 boys played a hurling blitz on Saturday morning against the U10 girls. Both teams showed tremendous skill and courage throughout, which proved to be a very enjoyable morning for all the players.
Our last midweek training of the year is this Wednesday from 6-7pm and we play the Silvermines in a football blitz in Nenagh next Saturday morning.

Under 11
Under 11 hurlers made the trip over to Thurles on Sunday morning to take on Durlas Óg. The boys put in a great effort and an encouraging display on what was a damp morning. Well done to all the boys, great to see them enjoying their hurling and improving each week.
Our plan for the week is hurling training at the slightly later time of 7 to 8pm and Friday from 6-7:15pm.
The boys have a well deserved few days off next weekend. Our next game is Newport away on Sunday September 29th.

Under 13
The Under 13C panel continue to prepare for their plate match fixtures which are scheduled for Saturday 21st of September at 2pm in Nenagh v Kilruane with the winners advancing to the final which will also be played on the same day in Nenagh. Wishing the boys the best of luck.
