Healthy Club Initiative: The Healthy Club Project team are hosting a health and wellbeing night in the Abbey Court Hotel on Wednesday March 23rd at 7.30pm. The talk, which is entitled “Minding the Body, Minding the Mind”, will be given by Dr. Fergus Heffernan PhD, who is a renowned psychologist and psychotherapist and a leading educator in the area of stress management and how it relates to our mental health. Fergus has worked with the Irish Defence Forces, the United Nations and NATO. He is a visiting lecturer and Workshop Director in Trinity College Dublin, Columbia University New York and Boston University USA.
County SH Challenge Cup: Our senior hurlers ran out 1-12 to 0-13 point victors over Kildangan in the second round of the Senior Challenge Cup on Saturday.
Divisional Draws: The draws for the Junior A & B Leagues and championships, Minor and Under 21 hurling were made last week and can be viewed on the club website
Membership: A final reminder to everyone and especially all players and mentors that membership for 2016 is now overdue and must be paid to Membership secretary Derek Lillis, any club officer or online before the end of February. The cost of membership is again very reasonably priced at €25 with a family membership option A priced at €60 and an option B priced at €85.

Camogie Club Notes
U10 , 12 and 14s training Monday and Thursday 5.30 to 6.30 all players to attend as u 14 Championship is starting Monday 5th April with a challenge match due this week tba.
U14 fixtures: Monday April 4th Nenagh v Annacarthy, April 11th Toomevara v Nenagh, April 18th Knockavilla v Nenagh, April 25th Annacarthy v Nenagh, April 29th Nenagh v Toomevara, May 9th Nenagh v Knockavilla.
U8 training Thursday 5.30 to 6.30 new members are always welcome as are returning members to any squad its never too late,
U16 and Intermediate training will continue this week, managers will be in touch with times. The Intermediate team play Newport this Sunday in Nenagh at 12 noon in the first round of the league, opening a new chapter for the club . U16’s first round match is on the 29th all panel members must attend training in readiness for this game.

Nenagh Éire Óg Camogie Club flag day will be on next Saturday and we are looking for volunteers to help out in this important club fundraiser. Catriona Morris can be contacted at 087-7776135 if you want to help in any way.
Clothes recycling is on Saturday 9th April this is another important fundraiser for the club.
Congrats to Alanna Morris and the Tipperary Senior Camogie team on their second win of the campaign on Sunday away to Offaly which puts them in the reckoning for the league Quarter finals .
Congrats also to Meaghan Morris, Abbie Sheedy and Ella Carey who were on the Tipperary u14 team which played Cork on Sunday and have all made the final squad.
Registration is due and can be paid to any committee member or team manager.
Juvenile Notes
A big thank you to our juveniles and all who helped for their wonderful behaviour walking behind our banner on St. Patrick’s Day. Well done to all and congratulations to Hughie McGrath and the team once again for their great work for the town.
Our under-12 players have a bye in the football championship this week. Well done to all for their huge effort on Saturday and your training continues as usual.
The under-14 football season begins on Easter Monday when they take part in the Féile Peil, playing Ballina in the semi-final in Ballina at 2pm. The final will follow on the day.
Under-16 footballers travel to Roscrea to play Inane Rovers on Monday, March 28th.

Under-21A: The 2016 playing year kicked off in the best possible fashion when our u21 hurlers won a thrilling North u21 final. Coming from 9 points down during the 2nd half, they then held on to win an absorbing contest. Well done to all players, team management and backroom staff and hard luck to a very magnanimous Kildangan side who lost nothing in defeat. We now play Thurles Sarsfields in the county semifinal. Juveniles: Winter training classes classes will continue on Friday night at the following times: 10/12s girls and boys to be in complex at 6.50pm to start at 7pm, 14/16 boys in complex at 7.50pm to be ready for 8pm. Running Tuesday night at 7.30pm for 10/12 and 8pm for 14/16.
Handball: Hard luck to Billy O Brien and Eoin Garrigan who lost out in their under-10 North Final at the weekend.

Our congratulations go this week to Barry Heffernan and the Tipperary hurlers who won the Munster final on Sunday last at Semple Stadium, Thurles. Well done also to the Éire Óg senior squad which represented the club so proudly in the Tom Semple Cup on Saturday and best of luck to our minor A and junior B teams who return to competitive action this week. A huge well done goes out to a whole series of Camogie players who turned out in the blue and gold of Tipperary recently and a special word of encouragement to the Blues’ under-12 team who paid a visit to Croke Park, Dublin. Finally, well done to our under-16A hurlers who recorded a third consecutive victory when beating Silvermines 5-19 to 2-16 on Monday evening!

Senior management finalised, the process is underway to appoint the management teams for the remaining adult sides, Nenagh Éire Óg have been named north Tipperary club of the year and players Dáire Quinn and Alan Kelly honoured in an encouraging start to the year.

There is an exciting weekend coming up for the Camogie club – on Saturday the under-16 Camogie team take on Newport-Ballinahinch in the county final while on Sunday the under-14 team also face Newport-Ballinahinch in their respective county final. Meanwhile the Éire Óg minor A team will also be in action against Cahir. Please support these teams if you can – your support is appreciated.

The Blues’ junior B hurlers narrowly lost to Newport in a thrilling junior B championship clash played at Newport on Friday evening – despite this defeat Éire Óg will progress to the quarter-finals of the north championship.
