Our congratulations go this week to Barry Heffernan and the Tipperary hurlers who won the Munster final on Sunday last at Semple Stadium, Thurles. Well done also to the Éire Óg senior squad which represented the club so proudly in the Tom Semple Cup on Saturday and best of luck to our minor A and junior B teams who return to competitive action this week. A huge well done goes out to a whole series of Camogie players who turned out in the blue and gold of Tipperary recently and a special word of encouragement to the Blues’ under-12 team who paid a visit to Croke Park, Dublin. Finally, well done to our under-16A hurlers who recorded a third consecutive victory when beating Silvermines 5-19 to 2-16 on Monday evening!

Senior management finalised, the process is underway to appoint the management teams for the remaining adult sides, Nenagh Éire Óg have been named north Tipperary club of the year and players Dáire Quinn and Alan Kelly honoured in an encouraging start to the year.

There is an exciting weekend coming up for the Camogie club – on Saturday the under-16 Camogie team take on Newport-Ballinahinch in the county final while on Sunday the under-14 team also face Newport-Ballinahinch in their respective county final. Meanwhile the Éire Óg minor A team will also be in action against Cahir. Please support these teams if you can – your support is appreciated.

The Blues’ junior B hurlers narrowly lost to Newport in a thrilling junior B championship clash played at Newport on Friday evening – despite this defeat Éire Óg will progress to the quarter-finals of the north championship.
