County Challenge Cup: Our senior hurlers defeated Ballingarry by four points in the County Challenge Cup on Sunday afternoon last. The final score was 0-20 to 2-10. Although Éire Óg initially lost to Upperchurch-Drombane wins over Lorrha and Ballingarry means the Blues now qualify for the semi-finals of the Dr Fogarty Cup. In the semi-final Éire Óg will face Kilruane MacDonagh’s in Cloughjordan – date TBC. The other semi-final of the Dr Fogarty Cup will see Burgess host Clonoulty-Rossmore.
JAHL: Our junior A team were due begin their league campaign last weekend against Toomevara, but this game was postponed due an unplayable pitch.
MAFC: The Éire Óg minor A footballers are in championship action this Wednesday (March 27th) when they face Newport Gaels at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh (5.30pm).
JBHL: Éire Óg launch their junior B league campaign this Saturday, March 30th at 4.30pm in Puckane when the lads take on Kildangan.
Membership: Club membership for 2013 is now overdue and should be paid to any club officer or online at www.nenagheireog.com. All players, managers and team mentors must be fully paid up club members.
