The junior A hurlers are through to the north final as minor A team prepare to take on Toomevara in a semi-final fixed for Wednesday evening in Cloughjordan. A huge well done goes to Evan Murphy, Jake Morris, Mark O’Farrell, Conor Bonar and Adam Carey who represented Tipperary on their respective inter-county teams last weekend.
SENIOR
Senior: The senior hurlers are expected to face Burgess in the final of the Hibernian Inn North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship on the week-ending Sunday, September 14th.
Junior A: On Saturday evening the junior A hurlers beat Kilruane MacDonagh’s 0-13 to 0-12 in the semi-finals of the Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior A Hurling Championship. Nenagh Éire Óg will face Kildangan in the final. Éire Óg last appeared in the junior A north final in 2012. During the group stage of the 2014 Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior A Hurling Championship Nenagh Éire Óg drew with Kildangan (1-16 to 3-10) at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. Junior B: On Friday evening the junior B hurlers lost to Newport 2-11 to 0-18. This was a terrific performance from an Éire Óg team which is improving all the time. This game concludes the group stage of the 2014 championship and the lads would appreciate your support for the up-coming quarter-final. Minor: On Wednesday evening (September 3rd) in MacDonagh Park, Cloughjordan at 6pm Éire Óg will face Toomevara in the Ger Gavin North Tipperary Minor A Hurling Championship semi-finals. Your support would be appreciated for this key game. On Wednesday, August 27th the Blues completed the group stage of the Ger Gavin North Tipperary Minor A Hurling Championship at St Michael’s Park in Toomevara with a 1-16 to 1-6 win over Borris-Ileigh. JUVENILE
Under-6 & Under-8: Our under-6 hurlers will be taking part in a blitz in Roscrea on Saturday morning. Under-8 boys will be training as usual.
Under-10: The under-10 team travel to Ahane for a blitz on Saturday – more from management during the week.
Under-12: Thanks to Michael Cleary and JKC Toymaster for treating our under-12 hurlers to ice creams and drinks after their final training session of the year. The management team of Michael McNamara, Joe Donovan, Enda Murphy, Tommy Heffernan and Alan Kelly would like to thank the boys for their great behaviour and enthusiasm all season. It was great to see the improvements made by all.
Under-14: Well done to Evan Murphy who played for Tipperary in the Tony Forristal tournament in Waterford at the weekend.
Under-15: Well done to Jake Morris and Mark O’Farrell who were part of the Tipperary under-15A team who played in Cork at the weekend and to Conor Bonar who played for the Tipp under-15B team that reached the All-Ireland final on Saturday.
Under-16: Congratulations to under-16 captain Adam Carey who won an All-Ireland medal with the Tipp under-16B team at the weekend. Well done Adam. Well done also to our under-16 hurlers who had an emphatic 3-17 to 1-3 win over Roscrea in the north quarter-final with goals coming from Barry Coffey, Adam Healy and Conor McCarthy on Monday evening. They now face Kilruane in the semi-final on September 8th/9th. Please check website for fixture updates.

Clothes Recycling Fundraiser: Many thanks to everybody who helped make a success of our fundraiser last weekend. Your support for our youngest hurlers is much appreciated.

CAMOGIE
Under-10: We played Borris-Ileigh in a challenge match on Monday last. Thanks to Borris-Ileigh for the game.
Under-12: Our under-12 team travelled to Ballinderry on Saturday last to take on Shannon Rovers in a game. A great day was had by all. Thanks to Shannon Rovers for the match.
Under-14: Our under-14 team played Drom & Inch in The Ragg last Thursday in the second round and won by 2-10 to 0-2. We play Newport in round three this Thursday at 6.45pm in Nenagh. We also played Killeedy in a challenge game last Saturday in Nenagh. Killeedy were our hosts in the Féile na nGael last year in Limerick and could not possibly have made us feel any more welcome. It was a great game and fantastic opportunity to renew our friendship.
Under-16: We are due to play Silvermines next Tuesday at 6.45pm in Nenagh.
Junior A: Our match against Kildangan last Sunday was postponed and will be re-fixed for a future date.
Tipperary: Congratulations to manager Greg Browne and the Tipperary under-14 team which captured the Orla MacDonagh blitz on Saturday last. Caroline Browne, Niamh Sheridan, Rachel Browne, Rachel O’Connor, Lily Purcell, Becky McGrath, Leah Kelly and Saoirse Shanahan were the Nenagh representatives on the panel. Well done to all involved. The Tipperary under-15 team played in an All-Ireland blitz in Portlaoise over the weekend. We were represented on the panel by Laura Tierney, Sarah Kennedy, Kate O’Connor and Leah Sheedy. Well done ladies.
