Nenagh Éire Óg prides itself on its Healthy Club status and with that in mind we would appreciate it if parents and students commensing state exams next week would read the following information from https://jigsawonline.ie/
As you are all aware Leaving Cert exam time is upon us with many young people and their families coming under pressure to ensure everyone stays calm in the run up to the exam.
Jigsaw, the organisation devoted to helping young people with all aspects of mental health wellbeing see a 35% increase in the number of young people engaging with its services in the run up to summer exams. Nearly half of young people use the internet to obtain information and support on their mental health and wellbeing.
On May 14th Jigsaw launched https://jigsawonline.ie/ which provides free information on all aspects of youth mental health. This website is aimed at young people, parents and teachers it offers resources, case studies and advise on a range of issues affecting young people’s mental health.
If you’re feeling anxious about state exams, you’re not alone. Many students come to Jigsaw because they’re overwhelmed about the upcoming Leaving Cert. Check out tips and strategies for getting through the Leaving Cert. Remember, it is okay not to feel okay.
