Lotto

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 9, 19, 20 & 31.

As the lotto starts again in 2023, we thank everyone for continuing to support our lotto. If you have not yet joined the lotto or if your ticket has recently expired (check recent emails from Clubforce to check status of your ticket), please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.

Tipp V Clare

MacDonagh Park was a busy place last Sunday where there was a full house for the Tipperary/Clare game in the Munster Senior League. Well done to Jake Morris and Conor McCarthy who both played in Tipp’s 2 – 22 to 20 point win.

Thanks to everyone who helped out both to prepare the facilities before the game and on the day to ensure that everything ran smoothly. With a crowd of up to 3,500, this was a great joint effort and huge credit to everyone for the part they played in this.

Condolences

We extend our sympathies to the Ryan family, formerly of Summerhill, on the death of Deirdre who sadly passed away recently. Deirdre was a well known and popular lady around the town of Nenagh and surrounding areas and will be sadly missed. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Tipperary Draw

Well done to Thomas McLoughlin who won €300 in the Tipperary Draw which was held last Friday night in Portroe. The next draw will take place on Fri 3^rd Feb.

New Year Greetings

We wish all our members, supporters and all associated with the club a happy and healthy 2023.

Bingo Loco

The club hosted a Bingo Loco event in the Abbey Court Hotel last Saturday night which proved to be a great success. This is the first such event to be held in the town and proved very popular with all age groups. Thanks to everyone who was involved in the organising of this event and to all who supported it. More to follow throughout the year.

Membership

Membership for 2023 is now due and can be paid through Foireann.ie.

If you are already set up on Foireann simply login and select and pay your membership type here. If you do not have an account, go to Foireann.ie and choose the New user – Register option – once you have set up an account your membership can then be paid here.

We encourage all when they are paying their membership this year to do this through Foireann – any queries on this please contact Enda Long at 087 221 3954. Membership can also be paid to Enda Long or any Committee member.

Membership rates remain the same as last year and are as follows:

Full Membership – €50

Student/OAP/Unemployed/Juvenile – €30

Family options are also available as follows:

Option 1 – One adult + multiple U18s – €80

Option 2 – Two adults + multiple U18s – €100

Coiste na nÓg Medal Presentations

The Tipperary Coiste na nÓg presentation evening took place last week where medals were presented to the Tipperary panels who won the Celtic Challenge (U17) and the Arrabawn Shield and John Doyle Cup (U15) in 2022.

Well done to Filip McIntyre who was part of the U17 winning panel and to Jake Holohan and Caylum Fogarty who were on the U15 panels

Peadar Cummins/Rodger Ryan

Congratulations to James Heffernan and Éanna Tucker who were part of the North Tipp team that defeated Mid Tipp to claim the Peadar Cummins trophy at the end of December.

Congratulations also to Aodán Tucker who was on the North Tipp team that won the U14 Rodger Ryan tournament on the same day.

Well done to all three boys on this great achievement.

Clubber Goal of the Year

Congratulations to Jake Morris who won the Clubber Hurling goal of the year for the goal he scored in the North Final.

Female Fitness Classes

Female Aerobic & Toning class will resume on this Wed, 11th Jan, at 7pm in the Complex. This popular class is for all levels, including beginners, and costs €10 per class or €50 for the 6 classes up to 15th Feb.

Community Friendly Lotto Donation

As part of the Nenagh Éire Óg Community Friendly Lotto, Chairperson John Tooher presented a cheque for €500 to Pat Carroll from St Vincent de Paul in the week leading up to Christmas.

Our Community Lotto was first started in June 2020 and since then Nenagh Éire Óg have donated over €5,000 from lotto funds to local charities. So when you play our lotto you are also supporting charities in the area.
