Condolences
It was with great sadness that we heard the news on Saturday morning of the passing of Shaun Hilmi after a brave battle. Shaun spent his Juvenile years with us here in MacDonagh Park and the many people whose lives he touched are the richer for it. Our sincere condolences go to his parents, Geraldine and Lee, sister Laura and brother Craig, his extended family and his many friends in school and in other clubs, especially in Nenagh Olympics where he was a leading light. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

If any member of our community requires support during these difficult times, prescriptions and groceries collected or if we can support you in any way please contact our Community Covid Officer, Bartley Ryan, on 086 735 8359 and a member of our club will be only too delighted to come to your assistance.
Similarly, if any member of our club wants to volunteer to help out please contact Bartley and your name will be added to our response team.
Presidents Presentation
The club recently presented our five club presidents with a specially designed tie in celebration of the 25th year anniversary of the 1995 Co Senior Hurling Final success. See below the presentations to Jimmy Morris, Mick Hynes, Mick Burns, Ger Gavin and Paudie O’Kennedy.
COVID Restrictions
Due to the recent introduction of Level 5 restrictions we would like to remind all our members that there will be no return to training in January and that the club grounds and complex are currently off limits.
New Year Greetings
We would like to wish all our members and supporters a happy and healthy 2021.
CAMOGIE NEWS
In light of the latest government Covid restrictions, all camogie training will be suspended until further notice.
We know the various groups were looking forward to getting going in the New Year, but better to be missing a month in winter than at the height of summer.
We all need to do what is asked of us in order to get the infection numbers down, which will in turn allow all grades to return to training as soon as possible.
In the mean time, please encourage all players to get out for a few pucks when they can. Regular exercise – getting out for a walk, cycle or run – is hugely important for both mind and body.
Wishing everyone good health and best wishes for 2021!
