JUVENILE NEWS
Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy
The Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy proudly sponsored by Albany Home Decor & A Sportsmans Dream are delighted to announce the next event in our series.
Fundamental Movement is a phrase we hear a lot currently but what is Fundamental Movement in a practical sense? Essentially, Fundamental Movement helps children develop the skills, confidence and love of movement to remain active for life. Here at the Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy we strive to support & facilitate coaches and parents in developing good Fundamental Movement skills in their coaching groups/children. To that end, the Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy proudly sponsored by Albany Home Decor & A Sportsmans Dream will be running a coaching workshop about developing Fundamental Movement Skills in primary school children.
This workshop is open to Éire Óg coaches and parents. The workshop will be delivered by Mr. John Murphy who has a doctorate in Physical Education. The workshop takes place on Saturday 2nd April from 9.30 till 11.00 on our new astroturf and will be a practical workshop, all Nenagh Éire Óg coaches and parents welcome.
Although aimed at primary school children, parents/coaches of secondary school children will also benefit greatly from this workshop as it has been found that teenagers nationally have poorer fundamental movement skills than in teenagers from past generations.
This is the second in the series of events run by the Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Academy and we are very excited to see as may parents and coaches attend on the morning of Saturday 2nd April from 9.30 till 11.00 on our new astroturf.
