Who knew Jake Morris could cook? Our under-12s qualify for the North Tipperary final while Mason Cawley, Cian Connolly and Jack McLoughlin star for Tipperary. All this and more in this week’s news on the Blues
Senior Hurling
Our senior hurlers travelled to Annacarty on Sunday afternoon and recorded a 0-24 to 0-19 win. With a number of regulars missing managers Noel Maloney and John Brennan got the opportunity to look at new players and Mark O’Farrell, Cian O’Farrell, Seán Phelan, Seán Geaney, John Cahalan, Craig Hilmi and Mark Tuite gave them plenty to mull over with fine performances. We are due to play Killenaule on Saturday next, 4 May, in MacDonagh Park at 19:00.

Under-8
Our under-8 boys played their first football blitz of the year on Saturday morning in Doctor Morris Park, Thurles. We had two teams on the day and both teams played against Killenaule, Moycarkey Borris and JK Brackens, Templemore. There was some great football played with the boys showing plenty of their skills. Great scores were had, wonderful interplay and tenacious tackling throughout. Gaelic Football training takes place every Tuesday in McDonagh Park from 6.00 till 7.00. Any boy interested in playing is welcome regardless of whether they play hurling or not. Hurling training continues as usual on Wednesday evenings from 5.30 till 6.30 and Saturday mornings from 10.00 till 11.00.
