Next week’s lotto Jackpot will be €3,900. As our lotto continues weekly we thank everyone for your continued support. If you have not yet joined our lotto or if your ticket has recently expired, please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.
And the lotto can now be played in the following businesses in the town – The Hi-B, JKC, Centra, Rockies, Cleary’s Daybreak & Andys. So look out for our new lotto boxes in these places where you can buy your lotto tickets each week and they will be included in the next lotto draw.
Development Update
Work continues on the field with the diggers back on site since last week and the laying out of the new field about to begin. A big few weeks now lie ahead as we reach the final stages of this phase of the project – drainage systems will be prepared and then levelling out with topsoil and sand. The costs continue to be a major part of this and so we are continuing to seek funding for this phase of the project. Our membership packages are still open and we thank everyone who has contributed to this to date. If you would like to avail of any of these packages, please contact any club officer or committee member for more information. Donations can also be made electronically – bank details available from Anne Kennedy & John Tooher. Please be sure to include your details if transferring money to this dedicated fundraising account.
Tipperary Draw
The 2022/23 Tipperary Draw starts this Friday night, 30th September. Our club promoters will be contacting all members this week and new members are also welcome. Please contact Bartley Ryan at 086 7358359 if you would like to join the draw. There is also an option to join up directly to Thurles through the link on the Tipperary GAA website – please remember to include Nenagh Éire Óg as your club. Please note that if you have joined this way in previous years you must sign up again, your ticket is not automatically renewed.
Club Fundraiser – Annual Monster Draw for Trailer load of Firewood
Our annual Monster Draw for a trailer load of firewood will take place on October 8th. All groups have been given cards to sell lines for entry to the draw, each line/entry is €2. Cards can be returned to the lead coach before training this week or alternatively we will open the clubhouse over the coming weekends to collect returned cards, times and dates will be circulated on WhatsApp. Also on October 8th we will be selling lines to the general public at various stations in town, the prize will be on display in town at the same time. Your support of the Monster Draw is very much appreciated.
JUVENILE CLUB
Under 5
Our Under 5 hurlers finished up for the year with a blitz in Kiladangan. The boys improved massively during the year and great to see how much they are enjoyed the year. We look forward to seeing everyone back next season.

Under 7
Under 7 boys played a hurling blitz last Wednesday evening with Silvermines and another Saturday morning with Ballina. All three teams showed excellent skill and determination on both days. Thanks to Silvermines and Ballina for travelling. There are no more mid-week trainings this year but training continues on Saturday mornings from 10-11am on the outside field. New players are always welcome to come along, so any boys born in the years 2015/16 please come along. For further information please contact Alan on 087-7518789.
Under 9
Training will be on Saturday mornings only from this week forward, no training on Wednesday evening next. New boys born in 2013 and 2014 are always welcome to join. Contact Cathal on 086 080 6460 or the club social media sites with any queries.
Under 11
Training on Wednesday at 6pm for hurling. Upcoming blitz this weekend v Turloughmore of Galway. New players born in 2011 and 2012 welcome to come along and give it a try. Contact 0874086439 for more details.
Under 13
Under 13 boys closed their season with a fun session last Friday. Thanks to everyone who supported the boys all season, thanks to all the parents for bringing the boys to training and matches all year. Thanks to the management group for their time and effort all year. Enjoy the break everyone.
Under 15
The Under 15A hurlers will play Toomevara on Tuesday evening in Moneygall in the North semi-final – best of luck to the players and management. Please support the boys.
Under 17
Our Under 17A team dug out an epic with over Knockavilla Kickhams on Sunday last in Kilcommon. This game had everything, it was a tense and dogged encounter and the Nenagh boys stood up to the challenge with unquestionable resolve and determination. Well done to this group on their hard fought win, commiserations to Knockavilla who gave it everything, an epic match. Éire Óg now advance to the county semi final, fixture details will be circulated on the clubs social media. Thanks to all of the support who travelled. U17 training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 6.50pm.
