Under 13 Football
The U13s had a busy week with 28 of our panel of 44 playing in North finals against Newport and Portroe. The rest of the panel play Ballina this coming Wednesday in the U13D final. The C panel came into the final after four great wins but came up against an excellent Portroe team. Some of the points kicked by Portroe were amongst the best we had seen in the U13 competition. Our boys battled to the end and never gave in.
The A panel had a great battle with Newport. Newport had given the boys a lesson in football in the group stages. Newport scored a goal in injury time to level the game for the first time but the boys responded brilliantly to kick a late point to snatch the win.
