Under-21 Hurling

Goalkeeper Eoin Garrigan pucks out the sliothar on Sunday in the under-21 match against Ballina.
Our under-21 hurlers played their first game of the championship on Sunday afternoon in MacDonagh Park and were defeated on a 1-15 to 0-14 scoreline. They must win their next match if they are to progress to the knock out stages of the competition.
Under-14 Football
On Tuesday, our Under-14 footballers took part in the County Super-10s Football Blitz at Coolmore, Dr. Morris Park. Competing in Group Two alongside Cashel and Fethard, the Nenagh boys acquitted themselves admirably, displaying excellent skill, teamwork, and movement throughout two highly competitive games.
Nenagh opened their campaign with a fine win over Cashel before facing Fethard in a quick turnaround. Despite a strong effort, the team were narrowly defeated in their second outing, with Fethard going on to top the group after defeating Cashel in the final match.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening of football and a valuable experience for all involved. The players now turn their attention to the S&C winter programme as preparations continue for the 2026 season.
Under-15 Camogie
The under-15 camogie team lost their match against Newport on a scoreline of 2-7 to 1-9 in Newport. Keevah Morris, Aisling Ryan and Emily Harmse were among the scorers. Their final group game takes place against Burgess on Sunday in MacDonagh Park at 3pm.
Flag Day

On Saturday we held our annual Flag Day and the club wishes to extend sincere thanks to Jim Nagle for organising the collection, to the local businesses around town who kindly facilitated our collectors and to all the volunteers who generously gave up their time to help. We also want to thank everyone who donated so generously — your support is greatly appreciated.

Social Hurling

A fascinating and highly enjoyable, high-tempo 30-minute game of Social ‘Ground’ Hurling took place on Wednesday night on the Astro between the 4-player bibs team and the 3-player non-bibs team, ending in a remarkable 9–9 draw.
The performance of Tom Bourke for the non-bibs fully merited his Player of the Match accolade. He opened and closed the scoring, adding four more goals in between to finish as top scorer with six in total. Tom was well assisted by teammates Enda O’Sullivan and Conor Hayes, who scored two and one goal respectively.
With the bibs team of Martin Hogan, John Phelan, Ger Ryan and Conor O’Donovan enjoying numerical superiority and leading 3–2 at the end of the opening 10-minute ‘half’, victory seemed inevitable when they extended their lead to 7–4 by the end of the second ‘half’.
However, in the closing minutes, with the bibs leading 9–7 — courtesy of hat-tricks from both Phelan and O’Donovan, two goals plus a brilliant penalty save by Ger Ryan, and a well-executed penalty by ‘young’ Hogan — the non-bibs showed admirable resilience. They rallied to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat thanks to two late goals from Tom Bourke, including a blockbuster from midfield in the final seconds, leaving the bibs players scratching their heads at how they didn’t win.
The session concluded with both groups enjoying a two-minute ball-wall session of alternate striking. Looking forward to our next Social Hurling session next Wednesday night at 8 pm. All welcome.
Support Seamus Morris’ “Come Dine With Me” Fundraiser for Quid Games

Nenagh Éire Óg’s Seamus Morris is taking part in the Quid Games on behalf of Tipperary GAA and needs to raise €3,000 to participate. His overall goal is to raise €5,000, with €1,000 going to the Dillon Quirke Foundation and €1,000 to Nenagh Éire Óg.
As part of his fundraising effort, Seamus is hosting a Come Dine With Me evening in the Hibernian Inn on Friday, November 28th.
Tickets cost €30, which includes a two-course meal and wine — and 100% of the ticket proceeds will go directly to the fundraising total.
It promises to be a fantastic night for a great cause, and your support would be greatly appreciated!
Sympathies
The club extends its deepest sympathies to Leonard Ryan, his son Conal and the extended Ryan family on the recent passing of Paul Ryan, Ennistymon and formerly of Nenagh. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Lily O’Brien, sponsored by 9 Grams – Seriously Good Coffee, made her first public appearance last Saturday, kindly helping to raise funds for the club’s Flag Day following her traumatic ordeal over the summer, when she fell victim to a cruel case of poorly finished tan lines. Since then, Lily has undergone intensive treatment and is now set to release her much-anticipated autobiography, Bronzed and Broken: My Journey Through the Streaks, just in time for Christmas.
Next week, we’ll be sharing exclusive extracts from three unforgettable chapters: The Day The Spray Went Wrong, Blotchy but Brave: Finding Confidence in Contrast and After the Bronze: Healing My Inner Glow. Early reviews suggest it’s a must-read masterpiece — sure to be a bestseller and available from all good, and not so good, bookshops.
