There is an exciting weekend coming up for the Camogie club – on Saturday the under-16 Camogie team take on Newport-Ballinahinch in the county final while on Sunday the under-14 team also face Newport-Ballinahinch in their respective county final. Meanwhile the Éire Óg minor A team will also be in action against Cahir. Please support these teams if you can – your support is appreciated.

Heartbreak for our junior A team in Saturday’s county final, but the under-21A hurlers presented Éire Óg supporters with something to shout about on Monday afternoon when beating Kilruane MacDonagh’s 2-13 to 1-13.

Despite the heartache of losing the county quarter-final on Sunday there is still plenty to savour for the Blues. On Sunday our under-13 hurlers captured the north Tipperary plate in great style while our junior A hurlers are this week preparing to face Skeheenarinky in a county final. And, our under-16 Camogie team have also progressed to their respective county final.

While the junior A Camogie team were left broken-hearted following their county semi-final defeat on Sunday there is still plenty to look forward to this coming weekend with the senior hurlers taking on Kilruane, the junior As in county semi-final action against St Patrick’s and the junior B team pitting their wits against Toomevara in a quarter-final replay.

Liam Heffernan’s senior hurlers stormed to a six-point win over Burgess in Sunday’s replayed Hibernian Inn North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship Final at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. With eighteen minutes to play Burgess led 0-7 to 0-6, but the Blues dominated thereafter and hit eight points without reply to land the Frank McGrath Cup. Meanwhile the junior A Camogie team registered a third consecutive win in the county championship – this time the Blues got the better of an excellent Newport team.

Another momentous week for the Blues as the senior hurlers fight back to earn a replay in an enthralling north final, the junior A team collect a welcome eighth divisional title, the under-16s narrowly miss out at the semi-final stage and the Camogie team impress with a five-point win over Kildangan.
