Éire Óg enjoyed a twelve-point win over a determined Portroe side at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sunday afternoon. Despite trailing by eight points at the break Portroe fought back manfully to close the gap to four, but the Blues surged clear in the final quarter to book their place in the semi-finals of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Championship.

For the very first time in adult Camogie Nenagh Éire Óg and Toomevara met in competitive action in a highly-entertaining encounter in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh in the third round of the junior A championship – Toomevara emerged victorious, but were pushed all the way by a determined and skilful home side.

The Blues lost an entertaining minor A quarter-final at a windy Puckane on Wednesday evening. The Éire Óg lads gave it everything, but in the end were defeated by an impressive Kilruane team.

Nenagh Éire Óg were beaten by Roscrea in an entertaining affair at St Michael’s Park in Toomevara on Wednesday evening. A number of injuries and a little misfortune hampered the Blues’ efforts, but, thankfully, irrespective of this defeat John Manley’s men have successfully progressed to the knock-out stages of this year’s minor A hurling championship.
