Heartbreak for our junior A team in Saturday’s county final, but the under-21A hurlers presented Éire Óg supporters with something to shout about on Monday afternoon when beating Kilruane MacDonagh’s 2-13 to 1-13.
SENIOR
Junior A: Commiserations to our junior A hurling team who lost Saturday’s county final to Skeheenarinky on a 1-12 to 1-14 scoreline. We are extremely proud of the manner in which this group of players represented themselves, their families and the club this year. We also thank the management team of Ger Tucker (manager) and selectors Matt Lillis and Donie O’Brien for their contribution to a terrific campaign. Nenagh Éire Óg would like to wish Skeheenarinky all the very best in their up-coming Munster championship campaign.
Under-21A: On Monday afternoon the under-21A hurlers beat defending champions Kilruane MacDonagh’s 2-13 to 1-13 in the opening round of the north championship. Well done to everyone involved.

JUVENILE
Under-8 Hurling: Our under-8 hurlers travelled to Dublin at the weekend to participate in the Kilmacud Crokes Festival of Hurling. The mentors would like to thank all the boys for a fantastic display of hurling and many thanks to Kilmacud Crokes for inviting us. Everyone had a great day out with special mention to the boy’s parents for all their support.
CAMOGIE
Under-12: Our under-12 team were defeated by Kildangan on Tuesday last, but despite that defeat they have still qualified for the county league semi-final.
Under-14: Our under-14 team defeated Ballina in the county semi-final on Bank Holiday Monday and recorded a 4-9 to 1-2 victory. They will play the winners of Newport-Ballinahinch and Éire Óg Annacarty in the final.
Under-16: The under-16 team are currently training hard in preparation for their county final. Please keep an eye on our website (www.nenagheireog.com) for details of this and other fixtures.
Minor: The under-18 team faced Thurles Sarsfields in the opening round of the championship on Monday last and came out the wrong side of a 2-15 to 2-4 scoreline. The team mentors will be in touch with details of training.
