A last minute Kildangan goal broke the hearts of a Nenagh Éire Óg junior A Camogie team which had fought back from six points down and was level entering injury time. Sadly, a late three-pointer denied the Blues a vital league win in Puckane.

Kildangan 2-5 Nenagh Éire Óg 0-8
Although the Kildangan ‘keeper was asked to make three good saves in the opening five minutes the home side raced into a 1-3 to no-score lead by the 18th minute – the goal materialised in the 14th minute while all three points came from frees.
The Kildangan ‘keeper made two further saves before an Alanna Morris ’50 got Éire Óg off the mark in the 24th minute. Two Ciara McGrath frees then added to the Éire Óg tally before Ciara McGrath landed a left-handed point from play in the 32nd minute.
Half-time: Nenagh Éire Óg 0-4 Kildangan 1-3.
A Kildangan free forced the home side into a three-point lead three minutes into the second half before Éire Óg rallied with a Ciara McGrath brace (one free) to leave one between them with twenty minutes to play. Finally, Holly O’Brien was fouled for a free which Ciara McGrath converted and the sides were level in the 42nd minute – 0-7 to 1-4.
Three minutes later Kildangan crept back into a narrow lead thanks to a converted free, but Éire Óg attacked relentlessly and forced two more saves from the outstanding Kildangan goalkeeper.
The Blues poured forward in search of an equaliser and although Éire Óg fired six consecutive wides (in total Éire Óg hit 12 wides and Kildangan 3) a long-range free from Rachel Maher following a foul on the outstanding Alanna Morris in the 56th minute tied the game.
Two further Éire Óg wides preceded a match-clinching Kildangan goal in the first minute of injury time.
