North Tipperary Junior B Hurling League
Silvermines 0-13 Nenagh Éire Óg 1-7
Éire Óg lost to a good Silvermines junior B team at Dolla on Friday evening. Despite playing with the wind in the opening half Éire Óg trailed 0-4 to 0-6 at the break. A Darragh Walsh goal in the second half gave the Blues some hope, but Silvermines deservedly went on to win the game. Unfortunately Éire Óg’s David Cleary and the Silvermines’ Alan Ryan were sent off following a second half incident.
Following an opening round draw with Kildangan the Éire Óg junior B hurlers will now face Borrisokane and Newport in their remaining group games with the top two qualifying for the semi-finals. In the junior B hurling championships Éire Óg have been drawn in a group with Newport, Ballinahinch, Ballina and Portroe with the top two qualifying for the semi-finals.
Nenagh Éire Óg: Brian Gubbins, Brian Duffy, David Minogue, John Kelly, Aodhán Geaney, Lenny Ryan, Michael Collins, Darragh Walsh, Niall Madden, Christopher Ryan, Kieran Duffy, Philip Hickey, Luke Kennedy, Conor Kirwan, Peter Egan.
