Scór: Congratulations to our successful Scór participants who won the Ballad Group, Recitation and Figure Dance sections at the North Tipp Scór finals last Friday night. They now go on to the county finals in Holycross on Friday, December 6th.
CAMOGIE
Minor: Our minors proved that hard work does pay off when they defeated Cashel Camogie Club in the replayed county minor B final on Sunday last. On this occasion our girls hurled right from the off and quickly found the back of the net with goals coming from Grace O’Brien and Aislinn O’Brien. We held a three-point advantage at the interval and the result was in doubt until Holly O’Brien goaled and then it was a matter of defending our lead which we did admirably with the backs performing heroics.
This is our very first county minor title and we wish to thank the panel of players and their hard-working management team for everything they have done this year. We look forward to playing in the A competition next year with confidence knowing the only player we will lose off the panel is captain fantastic Aileen Duggan. We also wish Saoirse Gleeson a speedy recovery from a leg injury she picked up in the game.
Presentation Night: All our successful teams from this year will be presented with their medals on Friday, December 6th in the complex at MacDonagh Park. We look forward to seeing all our mentors, players and their parents there on the night. Please note we had to change this presentation from its original date due to circumstances beyond our control.
AGM: The club AGM will be held on Wednesday, December 4th at 7.30pm in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. If you are interested in a position within the club please inform Denise Morris as soon as possible.
Volunteers: We are always looking for new people to get involved in the club and if you would like to contribute to the growth of Camogie in terms of administration, coaching, playing or in any other way please email eireognenagh@gmail.com.
