Éire Óg progressed to the final of the Johnny Ryan Cup thanks to a thirteen-point win over JK Bracken’s in terrible conditions at Templemore on Saturday afternoon – unfortunately JK Bracken’s had two players sent off in a one-sided encounter.

Éire Óg struck for 1-1 in the opening minute with Michael Heffernan notching the goal before a mix-up in the Blues’ defence saw JK Bracken’s score a three-pointer of their own to leave a point in it (1-2 to 1-1) with seven minutes played.
A Tommy Heffernan goal in the 26th minute helped Éire Óg into a 2-5 to 1-3 interval lead.
The sides traded efforts in the opening minutes of the second half before JK Bracken’s were reduced to thirteen men in the 40th minute (the Templemore side’s first sending off occurred in the 10th minute).
Éire Óg dominated the remainder of the game with a Mark Tuite goal in the 57th minute propelling the Blues toward a thirteen-point win.
