Our under-12s and under-14s look forward to North finals, Jake and Conor demolish the Wexicans while the club’s walking group is geared up for the Croagh Patrick climb. All this and more in this week’s news on the Blues
Eoin Garrigan makes a superb penalty save in the second half against Ballina which proved pivotal in securing Nenagh’s place in the North Tipperary under-14 final
Rody Bolands
With so many Tipperary fans planning their trip to the capital for All-Ireland final weekend we are asking you all to include our main club sponsor, Rody Bolands, in your itinerary. With so many links to the town, this pub is the ideal watering spot for all supporters of the Blues. Why not wear your club gear to let them know you’re there?
Croagh Patrick
In the early hours tomorrow morning, the club’s walking group will make the long trek to Mayo to climb Croagh Patrick to raise money for Milford Hospice. They have broken their €1,000 fund-raising goal on Go Fund Me but if you would like to donate to this fantastic cause, you can do so by clicking here.
Junior-A Hurling
We were defeated by Toomevara in the final game of the round robin series on Friday evening last, 3-20 to 0-16 in Cloughjordan. Despite the defeat we have still qualified for the North semi-final where we meet Roscrea this Friday evening. The time and venue have yet to be confirmed.
Junior-B Football
Our championship match against Galtee Rovers / St. Pecaun was cancelled as Rovers were unable to field and so we were awarded the match. Our final game in the round robin series is this Saturday in Kilcommon against Éire Óg Annacarty at 18:30. Best of luck to all concerned.
Under-12 Hurling
Best of luck to our under-12 hurlers who face Toomevara tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday, at 4:30pm in Moneygall. The lads have been preparing really well and developing their skillset over the last number of months and deserve huge support.
Under-14 Hurling
Well done to our under-14 hurlers who qualified for the North Final on Thursday evening last playing against a strong Ballina side. These two teams played out an epic match in the North football final earlier this year and they continued their sporting rivalry into the hurling with a dramatic late goal for the Blues securing victory after a tremendous second-half fightback from Ballina. They will face Toomevara in the final on Thursday, August 8th at 7pm in Templederry
Tipperary
Congratulations to Conor McCarthy, Jake Morris and the Tipperary under-20s who defeated Wexford this afternoon in the All-Ireland semi final, 8-16 to 1-15. Jake was in flying form in the forwards and ended his day’s work with 1-5 (1 free) while at the other end Conor was busy repelling numerous Wexford attacks. The All-Ireland decider will be a repeat of the Munster final as Tipperary will once again play Cork.
