We had a busy week playing our first games of the season. On Wednesday we hosted Silvermines for a challenge game and Saturday we played the county blitz in Borrisoleigh.
We played against Thurles, Borrisoleigh, Ballina and Silvermines in some terrible conditions.
The girls played very well against the Silvermines and showed great heart and determination in all four games. Well done to all, training continues Wednesday at 6pm.
Under 12 group who played Silvermines last Wed evening.

We had a good weekend winning two of two games.
First up on Saturday evening Team 2 hosted Rockwell Rovers. The girls went straight at it from the start, knocking in 6-1 in the first half. Playing against the wind in the second half and with one player less, the remaining girls put in the hard work to see us home leaving the final scoreboard Nenagh Éire Óg 8-3 Rockwell Rovers 1-4. Captain for the day was Brooke McCarthy.
On Sunday evening, our first team played a strong Shannon Rovers team in MacDonagh Park. Much like the second team, the girls attacked straight from the start. A hattrick from Lauren Grace meant we went in 4-3 to 0-3 up. Rovers got their game going in the second half and staged a great comeback, narrowing the gap to 2 points, but some fine points from Grace Cleary saw us home with the final score Nenagh Éire Óg 5-5 Shannon Rovers 3-6. Well done to both teams. Training continues Monday and Thursday 7-8pm.

The U16 girls hosted Toomevara in MacDonagh Park on Tuesday evening in the first game of the League. The girls ran out winners on a scoreline of 3 – 8 to 0 – 1 – well done girls.
Senior
We hosted Annacarty Sunday in Nenagh in the league. We fielded a very young team and great credit must go to our players who worked very hard throughout. Unfortunately Annacarty proved too strong, running out clear winners.
Our next match is away to Silvermines next Friday at 6:30pm.
Our senior girls in action against Annacarthy last Sunday in MacDonagh Park.
