Junior
Hard luck to our Junior A team who lost out to Roscrea in the final of the league last Sat evening. The score in the game was 1-17 to 1-12 with Darragh Walsh getting the Nenagh Éire Óg goal.
Attention now turns to the championship which starts next weekend – we have a bye in the first round with further fixtures to follow.
The Junior B championship is due to start on the weekend of 6th/7th August. We have been drawn in a group of 4 with Kiladangan, Templederry and Ballina – fixtures to follow.
Senior
We have been drawn against Newport in the North senior championship – this competition will only take place if Tipperary fail to reach the All-Ireland final.
Lotto
There was no winner of tonight’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 2, 5, 10 & 31.
The three winners in our lucky dip draw for €50 each are Noel Shoer, Conor O’Donovan and Orla Bonar.
Next week’s lotto jackpot will be €6,200. The lotto is our main fundraiser and we ask that you please support this and play online through the link on the club website.
Tipperary Draw
The final draw in the 2020/21 draw will now take place on this Friday night, 30th July.
Tipperary
Best wishes to Taurai, Sam, Mason and the Tipperary minor hurlers in tomorrow night’s Munster semi final against Waterford. Taurai starts the game at wing forward with Sam on the matchday squad while Mason is part of the extended panel.
Best of luck also to Barry, Jake and the Tipperary senior team who play Waterford in the All Ireland Quarter final next Saturday.
Under 5
Training continues every Saturday morning from 10 – 11am. Anyone else interested in joining Under 5 training please contact Erica on 0868774496. Please make contact as soon as you can as an online health questionnaire needs to be completed before taking part.
For any parents who plan to take a coaching role with the Under 5 group must complete two steps, firstly Garda vetting must be completed and secondly an on line Safeguarding course – links to both included.

Under 7
Under 7 boys had a hurling blitz against Moycarkey Borris in Nenagh on Saturday morning in very warm conditions. A fun morning was had by all and a big thank you to Moycarkey Borris for making the journey.
Training continues Tuesday evenings 6-7pm and Saturday mornings 10-11am. We’d love to see some new faces also!

Under 9
Under 9 boys played a hurling blitz on Saturday morning in MacDonagh park against Moneygall and Kildangan. Great skills and determination were on display in the glorious sunshine.
Hurling training continues Tuesday 6 – 7 and Sat 10 – 11 with football training on Wed 5.30 – 6.30.
Under 11
The Under 11 boys had three teams out in action again this weekend, the Navy team played Lorrha on Friday evening in Nenagh. The Blue team and the Nenagh Éire Óg team both played Burges in Kilcolman on a very warm Saturday morning.
The boys also played two football matches in the blistering heat on Tuesday evening against Ballina in Ballina. The matches were highly competitive and entertaining. Very well done to all the boys, you put in super performances despite the heat.
Training is back to the usual times this week.
Under 13
The Under 13’s played Toomevara last Tuesday evening and put in a good performance overall in very warm conditions. The Under 13A and D teams both play Roscrea on Tuesday evening in Nenagh at 7 and 7.30pm. Training continues on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Under 15
Under 15s put in a good performance despite losing out to Borrisoleigh last Thursday with many positives to build on. Next game is this Thursday against Toomevara in Nenagh with training continuing.
Under 17
The Under 17s played Toomevara on Monday 19th July and despite missing a lot of players, our lads played some excellent hurling and continue to improve. They played Ballina on Monday evening in Ballina where again they came out on the losing side.
We wish the Tipp minors and Éire Óg lads Taurai, Sam and Mason every success in the Munster semi final on Tuesday night against Waterford.
Hurling Wall
Work on the new hurling wall commenced last Monday morning and its absolutely fantastic to see the progress happening so quickly. It is very exciting times for the entire club, everyone who has supported this development and all of those who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this vision a reality.
Any remaining donations should be paid over to your fundraising representative, any amount is welcome and appreciated, your fundraising representative will have any details you may require in supporting the development. Any remaining tax forms associated with your donation should be given to your fundraising representative along with detail of the names you wish to have included on the club development jigsaw wall.
Lotto
The lotto has always been one of our main fundraisers and with our current club developments it is of vital importance to us now that everyone continues to row in behind our lotto and we continue to increase the Nenagh Éire Óg online club lotto subscriptions. We are asking our juvenile families and supporters to play our club lotto online. It costs just €2 per week to play safely online and there are different payment plans available. If your not in, you cant win!
Membership
Membership should have been paid by May 31st to ensure that your child is covered by insurance. For Covid reasons we ask that any overdue membership being paid is put into an envelope, family details written thereon and handed to the lead coach at the training session.
Return To Play
We would ask all parents/guardians to observe and co-operate with all the Covid protocols that are in place in order to ensure a safe training environment for your children and family. Please ensure you complete the Covid pre training/match conformation on Foireann in advance of attending training or matches.

Tipperary
Well done to Grace O’Brien, awarded Player of the Match while playing on her home pitch for Tipperary in their group game against Limerick on Sunday. A great day for Grace and for her family to see her lining out at Nenagh Éire Óg and Tipperary winning against Limerick 2-20 to 1.11. This win means Tipp have now qualified for the knockout stages of the Championship.

Senior
Hard luck to the Seniors who lost to the Silvermines last Tuesday on a scoreline of 2-15 to 1-10 in the quarter final of the league.

Under 16
U16s played St Cronans on Monday evening last and came out on the wrong side of a very hard fought battle losing by 2 points. They play Kildangan at home this Wednesday 28th July in Nenagh at 7.30p.m.
Under 14
Our under 14 side had finally gained their first win of the season with our final group game against Kildangan on Wed evening last. Great effort by all our girls who now go through to the plate semi final. Hard luck to Kildangan.
Under 12
After a week off games Nenagh 2 play Newport 2 on Monday evening at 6pm on the front field.
Nenagh 1 play Templemore on Thursday evening at 7pm, also on the front field.
Training for Nenagh 1 girls u12s at 7pm on Monday evening in the Convent Field.
Training for Team 2 only on Thursday evening 6-7pm at Eire Og.
Under 10
Training continues Mondays and Thursdays from 6-7. Any one interested in joining up can come to one of these sessions and we’ll provide you with a free hurley.
Under 8
Our U8s play Kilruane MacDonaghs this Thursday in Ardcroney at 6 o clock.
Under 8 training is on Monday and Thursday evenings. It’s on in St. Marys on Monday from 6-7 and in Éire Óg on Thursdays from 6-7. Any girls born in 2013/14 are welcome to come along and any parents interested in finding out more about our club call 0876233660 for more info.
