Co Senior League
The Co Senior League starts this weekend – we play Thurles Sarsfields in our first game on this Friday, 18th March, at 2pm in MacDonagh Park.
North Junior Leagues
The North Junior A League starts on the weekend of 26th March. There are 6 teams in the Junior A League and we are due to play Kilruane in the first round on Sat 26th at 4.30 in Cloughjordan. The other teams in the group are Borrisileigh, Roscrea, Kiladangan and Toomevara.
The Junior B League starts on the weekend of 9th/10th April and we are in a group of 5 for this league. We will play Silvermines in the first round on Sunday 10th April at 12 noon in Dolla. The other teams in our group are Portroe, Kiladangan and Templederry.
Lotto
There was no winner of tonight’s lotto Jackpot. This week’s winning numbers were 3, 12, 19 & 31.

If you have not yet joined our lotto or if your ticket has recently expired, please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.
The lotto can either be played online using the link below or lotto tickets are available from any committee member – this includes the option to enter for multiple draws.
Our Community Friendly lotto was launched in June 2020 and since then we have donated €4,000 of our lotto funds to local charities. So when you play our lotto you are also supporting the charities in our community.
Our next nominated charity is Carmhá and a further €500 from our Lotto funds will be presented to them in the coming weeks.

Membership for 2022 is now due and can be paid through Foireann.ie.
If you are already set up on Foireann simply login and select and pay your membership type here. If you do not have an account, go to Foireann.ie and choose the New user – Register option – once you have set up an account your membership can then be paid here.

Membership rates remain the same as last year and are as follows:
Full Membership – €50
Student/OAP/Unemployed/Juvenile – €30.
Family options are also available as follows:
Option 1 – One adult + multiple U18s – €80.
Option 2 – Two adults + multiple U18s – €100.
Thanks to all have paid their membership to date and we ask those who have not yet paid to please do so immediately.
Players in particular should remember that they cannot return to training until they have paid their membership.
Condolences
We extend our sympathies to John Phelan and the Phelan family on the passing of their father Richard last week.

Medal Presentation
The 2020/21 Medal Presentation Night will be held in the Hi-B on this Friday night, March 18th, at 8pm. Medals will be presented to the Junior C North Hurling Champions 2020, Junior A North Championship winners 2021 and Junior B Football North & County Champions 2021 on the night. All are welcome to attend.
Milford Care Fundraiser

Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Youth Academy Launch
Nenagh Éire Óg Juvenile club in conjunction with sponsors Albany Home Decor & A Sportmans Dream this week formally launched our Gaelic Games Academy.
NÉÓ Juvenile club representatives together with our sponsors visited the local primary schools to formally launch the Academy and invite all children over to the clubs new astro facility and join in on the Academy fun and games.

Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Youth Academy
We were delighted to have held our very first event as part of the Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy proudly sponsored by Albany Home Decor & A Sportsmans Dream.
On Tuesday night last we ran a coaching workshop for all coaches and potential coaches within the club. The workshop was held at our new hurl wall & astro facility and was lead by former national Director of Hurling, Paudie Butler.
This was a very well attended event and a resounding success by all account. Thanks must go to Niall Cahill who coordinated the workshop, to John Tooher who opened and moderated the evening and to Paudie Butler for making the trip to Nenagh and for a sharing his insights, knowledge and experience with the group in attendance. Thanks also to our Under 15 hurling group who worked with Paudie on the night to demonstrate various skills & finally, thanks to Pat McCormack & all the teachers from the local schools who were in attendance & participated.

Easter Camps
Plans are underway to run Easter Camps, we will be releasing details in the coming weeks on this so watch this space.
Coach Safeguarding Course
The club are running a Safeguarding course on this Tuesday night, March 15th, at 7pm in the complex.
In order to be involved in coaching juveniles in any regard requirements are:- to be Garda Vetted in the first instance & have your Safeguarding Certification completed in the second instance. We can not facilitate any exceptions to these requirements so contact Eileen Kennedy, Child Welfare Officer, via the club social media if you wish to enroll.
Under 7
Our U7 boys continue their 8 week block of fundamental movement games on the new Astroturf pitch. We would love to see new faces, so any boys born in the years 2015/2016 please come along Saturday mornings at 9am to the Nenagh Eire Òg GAA Complex. No helmet or hurls are required and it’s a great way for the boys to burn off some of that Saturday morning energy!

Under 11 boys hurling training takes place every Friday at 6.00 on the Astroturf.

Under 13
The boys opened their 2022 football campaign on Saturday afternoon v Ballina in Ballina. Both teams played really well in what were truely difficult conditions. The A group came away with a draw and the C group had a comprehensive win. All in all a positive start to the competition by the Nenagh boys.
Training for this group continues Tuesday evenings at 5.30pm and Saturday afternoons at 3pm.
Under 15
Training for this group continues on Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m and on Thursday evenings at 6pm.
Under 17
On Sunday last, this group had a very enjoyable challenge v Dúrlas Óg. Conditions were quite difficult and the visitors edged it in the second half. The game was a great workout for both sides and we look forward to seeing more dividends from time spent on the new hurl wall translate through to our games.
U17/19 training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 6.50 pm. We are getting a great turnout and encourage anyone who was on either of these squads before to come back and join us again.

CAMOGIE NEWS
Tipperary
Grace O’Brien lined out with the Tipperary Senior Team on Saturday against Dublin in Round 3 of the Littlewoods League.
Grace played midfield and scored 2 points from play in the first half.
The full time score was Tipp 1-12 Dublin 1 -08.
Tipperary have won all of their 3 League Matches to date.
The Final match is next Saturday away to All Ireland Champions Galway.
The winners of that match will meet Cork in the League Final on April 9th 2022.
Both Rachel Maher and Caroline Browne played with the Tipperary Junior team on Saturday in Dungarvan against Waterford. Caroline started in the midfield position and Rachel played at full back. The team were defeated against a very strong Waterford side.
This was their final group match of the league.
Seniors
The senior girls played their first game of the season againt St Killians of Offaly in a challenge match on Sunday afternoon. We came off second best but some great performances all over the field, not least from the younger members of the panel. We play our first league game away to Clonoulty next Sunday. Training continues Monday and Wednesday 8-9pm.
Under 16s
We played our second group match at home to Templemore on Saturday. We played well and came away with the win again on a scoreline of 3-6 to 1-2.
Training continues Monday at 6pm.
Under 14s
Training continues Mondays and Thursdays at 6pm.
Under 12s
U12s are back training at our new hurling wall on Thursdays from 7-8pm. New girls always welcome.
Under 10s
U10s are back training at our new hurling wall on Wednesdays from 6-7pm. New players are always welcome and will make plenty of friends while learning new skills.
Under 8s
Training will commence at the beginning of April for U8s.
Under 6s
There will be an Éire Ogres camp in early May for the Under 6s.
