Lotto

There was no winner of tonight’s lotto jackpot . The numbers drawn were 18, 23, 24 & 31 . This weeks 3 X €50 lucky dip winners are:

Next week’s lotto Jackpot will be €2,400.  As our lotto continues weekly we thank everyone for your continued support of the lotto. If you have not yet joined our lotto or if your ticket has recently expired, please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.

The lotto can either be played online using the link below or lotto tickets are available from any committee member – this includes the option to enter for multiple draws.

Our Community Friendly lotto was launched in June 2020 and since then we have donated €4,500 of our lotto funds to local charities so when you play our lotto you are also supporting local charities.

Junior

Our Junior B group are due to start their championship either next weekend or the weekend after against Borrisokane  – this fixture depends on whether Borrisokane qualify for the Junior B League Final which is due to take place this weekend – please keep an eye out for further notification of this fixture.

The Junior A’s next game is against Toomevara on Fri 24^th June at 7.30pm in Borrisoleigh.

Tipperary

Best of luck to Sam O’Farrell and the Tipperary minor team who play Galway in the All Ireland semi-final next weekend – the game takes place on Sunday in the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick. Sam captains the team.

JUVENILE NEWS

Nenagh Éire Óg Scrap Metal Collection Fundraiser. 

Thanks to everyone who helped out organising and collecting scrap for this fundraiser. Thank you also to all who dropped off scrap metal to the club grounds, it was appreciated.

Nenagh Éire Óg Gaelic Games Youth Academy 

Our latest Academy event, Player Pathway – from Teenage Player to Adult Player, was held last Friday night with Darragh Droog. The event was very well attended by young players, coaches and parents. Thanks to Darragh and everyone for attending this insightful event.

Nenagh Éire Ógres

Our 2022 Ógres progressed to the first of the Under 5 training sessions last Saturday morning. We would like to thank Cyril and the team at EBS Nenagh New Mortgages for the kind sponsorship of the 2022 Ógres camp.

Under 5

Our little boys had a great start to their Under 5’s training on Saturday morning last. We continue at 10 a.m. next Saturday morning on the outside field – road end. The boys had great fun and we would love to welcome any new boys who would like to join in. Any boys born in 2017 are welcome to come along and try training out, any questions call John on 087 1365053.

Under 7

Under 7 boys continue to train on Saturday mornings from 10-11am and Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm on the outside field. We’d always like to see new faces so any boys born in the years 2015/16 please come along. For further information please contact Alan on 087-7518789.

Under 9

Training continues on Wednesday evenings from 5.45 to 7 p.m. on the outside field. New boys born in 2013 and 2014 are always welcome to join.

Under 11

Under 11 boys, three teams were out against Newport Saturday morning in Nenagh. All three games were very close and competitive. Training continues for hurling and football during the week. Next weekend we have two hurling matches against Silvermines and one against Portroe.

New players born in 2011 and 2012 welcome to come along and give it a try. Contact 0874086439 for more details.

Under 13

Under 13 boys opened their 2022 hurling campaign last week with both teams out against Toomevara. It was two solid all round team efforts from both of the Nenagh teams which resulted in wins for Nenagh at both A & C grades. The A panel are out on Tuesday night, June 14th, against Borrisoleigh in Borrisoleigh. Training on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Under 15

Our Under 15 hurlers had a competitive match against a very strong team from Ahane on Thursday evening last.

Training continues Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8 pm. 

Under 17

Our Under 17s played Ballina last week and while the game was well in the mix at half time, a strong second half from Ballina resulted in Ballina taking the spoils on this occasion.

U17/19 training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 6.50 pm.

For any new joiners to the juvenile club membership for 2022 can be paid through Foireann.ie.

If you are already set up on Foireann simply login and select and pay your membership type here. If you do not have an account, go to Foireann.ie and choose the New user – Register option – once you have set up an account your membership can then be paid here.

CAMOGIE NEWS

Seniors

Senior training continues on Monday and Thursday next week. With our championship fast approaching, we are hoping to organise a few friendlies over the next few weeks.

Under 14s

Great to see some of the u14 girls at the NÉÓg Academy talk by Darragh Droog on Friday evening. Training for all u14 girls continues at normal times – Monday and Thursday 7pm this week.

Under 12s

Team 1 played Borris-Ileigh away on Wednesday evening last, they had a great first half and led by one point at half time. Unfortunately Borrisoleigh came back a lot stronger in the second half and our girls struggled to keep up despite trying hard right up to the finish, Final Score Nenagh Éire Óg 1 – 2 to Borrisoleigh 2-6. Team 2 played Burgess 2 at home on Thurs eve last. We had 11 girls involved on the pitch who played with great commitment and spirit. It was 0-0 at half time, Burgess came out hard and fast after the break, the girls dug deep and fought back, but unfortunately we didnt pull off a win in the end. Training continues as usual on Monday evening at 6. Next week Team 2 plays Ballina away and Team 1 hosts Thurles. Match times and days to be confirmed later.

Nenagh Éire Óg U12s

 

Under 10s

U10’s had a blitz on Saturday morning in Cloughjordan. We had two teams and each played 3 games against Kilruane, Toomevara and Roscrea. The girls really played well and enjoyed it. Great to see some of our new members playing. Training continues on Thursday at 6p.m.

Under 8s

Training on Mondays from 6-7p.m on the pitch and training on Saturday mornings on the astro @10a.m. New players always welcome.

Under 6s

Training for U6s is every Monday from 6-7p.m.

For insurance purposes it is essential that all girls are registered and paid up in full on Foireann.
