North Senior Hurling Final
Our senior hurlers claimed the North senior title for the first time since 2014 with a great win over Kiladangan on Sunday evening last in Cloughjordan. Trailing by 7 points at half time and losing Barry Heffernan to injury early in the second half and Conor McCarthy to a red card with 10 minutes remaining, the lads showed great heart and determination to come out on top by two points in a great battle. This was a fantastic second half performance to turn the game around as they did against all the odds. Final score was 2 – 20 to 2 – 18 with James Mackey and Jake Morris getting the second half goals. Congrats to everyone involved on this great win. Attention now turns to the Co Championship where they face Clonoulty in the first round on weekend of 23rd/24th July.

Junior
Hard luck to both our Junior groups who were defeated at the weekend – our Junior As lost out to Roscrea on Fri evening on a score line of 4 – 21 to 2 – 19, Niall Madden and Craig Hilmi getting the Nenagh goals. This loss ends their interest in this year’s Championship, thanks to all players and the management team for the great effort they put in all year.
