{"id":942,"date":"2013-06-06T22:06:59","date_gmt":"2013-06-06T22:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nenagheireog.com\/?p=942"},"modified":"2013-06-06T22:09:42","modified_gmt":"2013-06-06T22:09:42","slug":"borrisokane-prove-too-strong-for-junior-bs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nenagheireog.com\/index.php\/borrisokane-prove-too-strong-for-junior-bs\/","title":{"rendered":"Borrisokane prove too strong for Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g junior Bs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>The North Tipperary junior B league campaign ended in disappointing defeat for Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g, but the lads are now looking forward to the north Tipperary junior B hurling championship. <\/p>\n<p>Thursday, June 6th<br \/>\nNorth Tipperary Junior B Hurling League<br \/>\nBorrisokane 5-13 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 1-10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c9ire \u00d3g\u2019s north Tipperary junior B hurling league campaign came to a disappointing end in Borrisokane on Thursday evening when the home side won with five goals to spare.<\/p>\n<p>Borrisokane, who needed a win to force their way into the semi-finals, started well and led 1-2 to no-score before \u00c9ire \u00d3g got off the mark thanks to a Kieran Duffy free in the 13th minute. A second Borrisokane goal in the 23rd minute helped the home side into a 2-6 to 0-5 interval lead.<\/p>\n<p>Borrisokane began the second half in positive fashion and hit \u00c9ire \u00d3g with a third goal before Aidan Healy managed the first of his four second half points. \u00c9ire \u00d3g scored a goal of their own when Kieran Duffy buried a free from 23 yards in the 50th minute. Unfortunately Borrisokane added two further goals to their tally.<\/p>\n<p>In the up-coming junior B hurling championship \u00c9ire \u00d3g have been drawn in a group featuring Newport, Ballinahinch, Ballina and Portroe with the top two qualifying for the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g:<\/strong> Brian Gubbins, John Kelly, Leonard Ryan, Brian Duffy, Aodh\u00e1n Geaney, Niall Madden, Jack Sheedy, Kieran Duffy (1-4, 1-4 frees), Darragh Walsh (0-1), Paul Slattery, Kevin Kennedy, Ger O\u2019Gorman, Aidan Healy (0-4), Peter Egan, John Donnellan.
