It was absolutely fantastic to see club legend Mick Burns in MacDonagh Park on Saturday afternoon last after a recent hospital stay. Mick is our most decorated hurler having been part of the legendary Tipperary teams of the 1950s and 1960s when he won five All-Ireland senior hurling titles, eight Munster senior titles, five National Hurling Leagues as well as a North Tipperary senior hurling crown with the club in 1964. Mick played for a number of years with Faughs in Dublin where he also won a county senior hurling league medal.<\/p>\n
