Excitement is building ahead of next Sunday’s 10km fun run in MacDonagh Park. There are also the options of a 5km run and family walk. This year’s event, which is being built as a health and well-being day for the entire community, is in conjunction with the HSE and there will be free health checks, wellness advice and tips on healthy eating. Prices are \u20ac15 for the 10km run, \u20ac10 for the 5km run and \u20ac5 for the walk. We look forward to seeing a huge crowd there from both the club and wider community.<\/p>\n

Our congratulations go to Jake Morris, Barry Heffernan and the Tipperary senior hurlers who qualified for the Munster final following their great win over Limerick in Semple Stadium. Jake chipped in with a fine point but the lads will have it all to do again as they’ll meet the Treaty once again in the final in two weeks’ time in the Gaelic Grounds. <\/p>\n

We also commiserate with Paul McLoughlin and the county minor hurlers who ended their interest in the 2019 championship following the loss to Limerick over the weekend. Our own Richie Flannery is the current coach of the Limerick minors and we wish him the very best as they prepare for the Munster final. <\/p>\n

Grace O’Brien in action against Waterford<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

Grace O’Brien scored a fine point for the Tipperary seniors against Waterford in the Munster championship in The Ragg on Saturday. Unfortunately the game had to be abandoned following an injury to Nicole Walsh and we wish the Borris-Ileigh star the very best in her recovery.<\/p>\n

Jack McLoughlin, Mason Cawley, Cian Connolly and Zac Keller who all made their inter-county debuts on Saturday when they travelled to MacHale Park to play Mayo in four fantastic Gaelic football matches. Filip McIntyre is also part of the panel but wasn’t available on Saturday. Well done lads, the first games of many in the Blue and Gold we hope.<\/p>\n

Our junior-A hurlers recorded a comfortable 3-22 to 2-8 win over Kilruane MacDonagh’s on Friday evening in the North championship in Kilcoleman. We send our best wishes to D\u00e1ire Gleeson who picked up an injury in the game. <\/p>\n

We were supposed to play Kiladangan on Saturday evening last in the junior-B championship but unfortunately had to concede the match as we did not have enough players. <\/p>\n

Our under-10 girls were out in big numbers last Saturday morning to host a blitz at MacDonagh Park. Thirty girls togged out and they were divided into three teams playing matches against Toomevara and Kiladangan. The conditions were ideal and their camogie skills are improving with every week. All the teams were treated after the blitz to delicious food, our thanks to the wonderful parents of this group. Training continues this week on Monday and Thursday evenings at the usual times. New players are always welcome to come along. It’s a great way to make new friends and learn new skills.<\/div>\n

The club are running a school blitz for St. Mary’s BNS and Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan on Friday 21st May in MacDonagh Park for senior infants and first-class students. We hope all the young players have a fantastic day in what will be for many their first taste of hurling.<\/p>\n

The Adare and Nenagh hurlers following the blitz on Sunday in MacDonagh Park<\/p><\/div>\n

We hosted Adare on Sunday morning for some wonderful hurling matches with tremendous skills and talent on display from both clubs. Adare travelled onto Thurles for the big match afterwards.<\/p>\n

The under-8 boys travelled to Toomevara to play the hosts Ballina and Roscrea. All clubs had three teams on the day. There was great hurling from all teams. Former Tipperary winning captain and current county senior hurling coach Tommy Dunne spoke to all the boys after the blitz encouraging them all to get out practicing at every opportunity. Training continues this week with Gaelic football on Tuesday at 6.00 and hurling Wednesday at 5.30. We are looking to run a street league over the next number of weeks in hurling and football. We hope to get as many new players up to the field as possible over the next few months to try out hurling or football. If anyone new wishes to come along and play or enter the street league they can ring 0874086439 for more information.<\/p>\n

We will begin our Tuesday training this week from 6-7pm and have another blitz in the pipeline! New members are always welcome. Please spread the word. <\/p>\n
