Rory Flannery<\/p><\/div>\n

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Rory Flannery on Friday last.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

One of the great club servants, Rory held various administrative positions in the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g club at juvenile and adult level. From his roles as one of the founding members of the club lotto and one of the key men involved in the formation of the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g juvenile club in the early 1980s. Rory served as adult Club Chairman from 1999 to 2003. More recently, he represented the club at County Board level. One of the club\u2019s greatest supporters, Rory hardly ever missed a club or county game of any kind.<\/p>\n

The Flannery family have long been associated with the Nenagh Eire \u00d3g club and Rory was first and foremost a family man to whom he was so dedicated and of whom he was so proud.  We have all suffered a great loss, so how much greater must be the loss to his own family and extended family to whom is offered our deepest sympathy.<\/p>\n

Funeral arrangements are as follows: Reposing in Ryan\u2019s Funeral Home, Nenagh, this Sunday from 4 o\u2019c to 7 o\u2019c. Remains arriving to St. Mary\u2019s of the Rosary Church, Nenagh, on Monday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Lisboney New Cemetery.<\/em><\/p>\n

As a mark of respect, the club will be closed on Monday 12th<\/sup> November and this week\u2019s lotto draw has also been cancelled.<\/p>\n

Following the disappointment of last Sunday’s defeat to Toomevara in the under-21 quarter-final, the Blues were back in action on Saturday against Roscrea in a play-off which Nenagh comfortably won on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-11.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, with time just up, Adam Carey received a nasty facial injury following an off the ball incident and we wish him well in his recovery. We hope he will be recovered in time for next weekend’s North Tipperary semi-final clash with Kilruane MacDonagh’s. This game is due to take place in Borrisokane on Sunday next, 18th November, at 2:30pm with Peter Carroll (Burgess) refereeing. <\/p>\n

The other semi-final pits Kiladangan up against Toomevara and this is scheduled to take place in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh at 12 noon on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Sc\u00f3r<\/em>\"\"<\/h2>\n

Nenagh<\/span> \u00c9ire \u00d3g are seeking entrants for Sc\u00f3r<\/em> competitions this year. Last year Ormond’s<\/span> Clodagh Hackett was vert successful in the recitation competition. There are many other competitions for primary school level (Sc\u00f3r na bP\u00e1ist\u00ed<\/em>) and more for Secondary (Sc\u00f3r na n-\u00d3g<\/em>). The North Tipperary final takes place in Borrisoleigh on Friday November 16th. Please contact Tom Boland on 085 202 3385 for more details.<\/p>\n
