And, don\u2019t forget that the senior and juvenile club AGMs are almost upon us. Please read on for all the latest news, photos, reports and fixtures!<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>SENIOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Harty Cup:<\/strong> A huge well done to Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g\u2019s Gavin O\u2019Connor, Jake Morris and Adam Healy who all featured in Nenagh CBS\u2019 4-18 to 0-14 win over Thurles CBS in last Wednesday afternoon\u2019s Dr Harty Cup clash played at Templemore. Nenagh CBS required an eight-point win over their Tipperary rivals in order to progress to the quarter-finals of this prestigious competition. And, the lads achieved that feat with a little spare thanks to a terrific performance. As a result Nenagh CBS topped their group, progressed to the last eight alongside St Colman\u2019s (Fermoy) and now find themselves preparing for a Dr Harty Cup quarter-final which will take place in January. The Blues\u2019 Niall McKeogh, Craig Himli and Conor McCarthy were also members of the Nenagh CBS panel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-21A:<\/strong> Greg Browne\u2019s under-21A hurling team made an encouraging start to their championship campaign recently when beating Roscrea by sixteen points. The team is now awaiting a semi-final fixture. This year the under-21A hurling team is managed by Greg Browne (manager), Con Morris and Michael McNamara. <\/p>\n<p><strong>AGM:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday, December 16th at 8pm in the MacDonagh Park Complex. Nomination forms and forms for notices of motion are available from the club secretary Anne Kennedy &#8211; email secretary.nenagheireog.tipperary@gaa.ie. Santa has promised to visit with all of our youngest hurlers to thank you for being so good this year. If you have one, wear your Santa hat to welcome him.    <\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to our under-16 North champions who were presented with their medals this evening in the complex &#8211; a big thank you goes out to Kevin Tucker who did the honours so well and gave the lads an inspirational speech. Also on the night team manager David Minogue was presented with an award from the North Tipperary Coiste na n\u00d3g for his role as mentor with the Tipperary under-16 panel. Our own Conor Bonnar, who was a member of that team, is pictured presenting the away.<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>CAMOGIE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The AGM of Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Camogie club was held recently. The members in attendance were satisfied with the direction of the club and the fact that all teams are now playing in A competitions and our most adult team have qualified for the Intermediate championship next season having won both the junior A league and championship double just two years after winning the junior B double. <\/p>\n<p>The progress of the club is down to the hardworking committee who gave up their spare time to guide and fund what is a wonderful club with a great ethos of fun-first and achievements afterwards. <\/p>\n<p>The new chairperson Caitriona Morris was wished well on her role for the upcoming year and she was full of praise for the previous chairperson Denise Morris who had guided the club along with a steady hand and left the club in great shape. <\/p>\n<p>The new chairperson also thanked the great work of retiring PRO Enda O\u2019Sullivan, along with Brian McDonnell and Catherine McTiernan, for his remarkable work on the \u00c9ire \u00d3g ezine which was a great way of showing the hurling and Camogie clubs achievements along with historic pieces from the past. Catriona also thanked Mary Ryan-Mulqueen for her dedication to the club. <\/p>\n<p>The new club committee are: chairperson Caitriona Morris, vice-chairperson Liam McGrath,  treasurer Marie O\u2019Brien, secretary Liz Duggan, joint-secretary Denise Morris, PRO S\u00e9amie Morris, child welfare officer Mark Hassett and registrar Catherine Kennedy. Committee: Lorraine McLoone, Pat Sheridan, Tom McAuliffe, Kieran O\u2019Brien, Louise Hickey and Marie Sheedy.<\/p>\n<p>The club would like to say that they are on the lookout for new players and managers as we are proposing to field two adult teams next year meaning that previous players and anyone who wishes to get back playing camogie should make an early new year\u2019s wish and contact Catriona Morris at 087 777 6135 for details.<\/p>\n<p>The club would also like to congratulate Enda O\u2019Sullivan for his recent academic achievements.<\/p>\n<p>The proceeds of the Hibernian Inn Christmas Draw this year are going to Nenagh Camogie Club so I would encourage everyone to drop in a buy a few lines at \u20ac2 a-piece or \u20ac5 for three lines.
