Although everyone was disappointed to see the seniors get knocked out of the north championship the junior B team completed their league campaign with an encouraging win over Shannon Rovers. The under-14 hurlers launch their championship campaign this week and don\u2019t forget that the Blues 10K returns to the streets of Nenagh on Sunday, June 14th!

\nSENIOR<\/strong><\/p>\n

Senior:<\/strong> A superb performance from the Templederry Kenyons at Dolla brought the Blues\u2019 reign as north Tipperary senior hurling champions to an end on Sunday evening (0-18 to 2-18). The Blues have already qualified for the last sixteen of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Championship. The concluding stages of the county senior hurling championship will not take place until the respective divisional championships have been played. Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g would like to wish the Templederry Kenyons all the very best in the quarter-finals of the Hibernian Inn North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship and in their quest to win a first-ever north title. Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g are scheduled to return to action in the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Challenge Cup in the coming weeks. The Blues have already progressed to the semi-finals of the Dr Fogarty Cup and have been drawn to face Lorrha-Dorrha in the last four. On the opposite side of the draw Burgess will take on Mullinahone. The clash with Lorrha-Dorrha is provisionally scheduled to take place in MacDonagh Park, Cloughjordan on Friday, June 19th at 7.30pm (extra-time will be played in the event of a draw). Please be advised that this fixture may change.<\/p>\n

Junior A:<\/strong> The first round of the junior A hurling championship is scheduled to take place on the week-ending June 21st. This year the team is managed by Greg Browne (manager), Con Morris, Michael Ryan and Conor Ryan.<\/p>\n

Junior B:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g junior B hurlers concluded their league campaign on Friday evening in Ballinderry when winning with eight points to spare against Shannon Rovers (1-16 to 0-11). The Blues missed out on qualification for the knock-out stages of the league, but the junior Bs concluded their league campaign in great style with good wins over Toomevara and Shannon Rovers. Indeed, the lads were misfortunate not to earn a dividend from the clashes with Newport, Moneygall and Portroe earlier in the campaign. On all three occasions \u00c9ire \u00d3g suffered narrow defeats, but will face into the north championship in confident mood.<\/p>\n

The first round of the Watch Centre North Tipperary junior B hurling championship is scheduled to take place on the week-ending June 21st or June 28th. This year the team is managed by Cian Tucker (manager), Mark Long, John Paul King and Paddy Flynn.<\/p>\n

The Watch Centre Junior B Hurling Championship will be run on a two-group league system with the top team in each group progressing to the semi-finals and the second and third teams qualifying for the quarter-finals. Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g have been drawn in group two alongside Ballina, Portroe, Borrisokane, Toomevara and Lorrha-Dorrha. \u00c9ire \u00d3g\u2019s first game will be against Ballina. Meanwhile group one features Silvermines, Newport, Shannon Rovers, Kildangan, Moneygall and Borris-Ileigh.<\/p>\n

Minor A:<\/strong> The first round of games in the Ger Gavin-sponsored North Tipperary minor A hurling championship is expected to be played on Wednesday, July 1st or Thursday, July 2nd. John Manley’s Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g team have been drawn in group one alongside Roscrea, Newport Gaels, Borris-Ileigh and Portroe. <\/p>\n

\"10K<\/p>\n

The Blues 10K:<\/strong> The Blues 10K & Fun Run\/Walk will return to the streets of Nenagh on Sunday, June 14th (10.30am). The event will be hosted this year in aid of the North Tipperary Hospice. Entry to the 10K run is priced at \u20ac15 (\u20ac12 pre-registered online), entry to the 5K run is priced at \u20ac10 and entry to the 5K for walkers is priced at \u20ac5 per family. Prizes: \u20ac100 for the first-placed male and female competitor in the 10K, \u20ac50 for the second-placed male and female and \u20ac25 for the third-placed male and female competitors. JUVENILE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under-6 & Under-8:<\/strong> Training continues as normal. Keep up the great work! The under-8 hurlers will make the trip to Dolla on Saturday morning for a match – more information is available from the team mentors.<\/p>\n

Under-10:<\/strong> Our under-10 footballers enjoyed a super challenge match against Monaleen during the week. Well done to the boys and thank you to our visitors.<\/p>\n

Under-12:<\/strong> The under-12 championship kicks off on Friday with both groups A and D playing Toomevara in Nenagh. Best of luck to our lads! Full attendance required at training on Monday at 5.30pm and Wednesday at 6.30pm.<\/p>\n

Under-14:<\/strong> Our hurlers open their championship campaign with a first round encounter away to Borrisokane on Wednesday at 7pm. Our under-14 development squad had a very worthwhile challenge against Portroe on Saturday last. Thanks to Portroe for facilitating the game. We will have more games coming up for this team. Training continues every Monday at 6.30pm and Saturdays at 11am.<\/p>\n

Under-15:<\/strong> \u00c9ire \u00d3g took part in the Munster under-15 tournament on Saturday in Puckane acquitting themselves well against Mungret, Clonlara and Kildangan.<\/p>\n

Under-16:<\/strong> Best wishes to all of our players who will sit exams this week.<\/p>\n

CAMOGIE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under-8 & under-10:<\/strong> Both of these teams played Shannon Rovers over the weekend in challenge games and had great fun. Thanks to Shannon Rovers for the lovely refreshments afterwards. <\/p>\n

Under-12:<\/strong> The under-12 team play Ballina this Tuesday in Nenagh in round four of the league at 7.15pm. <\/p>\n

Tipperary:<\/strong> Well done to Lucy Spain, Katie Morris and Ella Carey who were part of the Tipperary under-14 team that won a blitz in Cork over the weekend. <\/p>\n

Exams:<\/strong> Best of luck to all our players, members and supporters who are sitting their junior and leaving certificate exams this week. <\/p>\n
