Meanwhile our junior A Camogie team are in league semi-final action while our commiserations go out to the four Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Camogie players who missed out on an All-Ireland minor medal on Saturday when Kilkenny beat Tipperary in a dramatic encounter at Birr. And, on the juvenile front our under-16A footballers have qualified for a north final against Inane Rovers!<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>SENIOR<\/p>\n<p>Senior:<\/strong> Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g\u2019s next match in the county senior hurling championship against Ballina is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 4th in Newport at 6.30pm. This is an important game following the defeat suffered at the hands of Templederry and the lads would appreciate your support. Please note that the Blues\u2019 final group game against Clonoulty-Rossmore is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 10th in The Ragg at 6.30pm. The first round of the Hibernian North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship is also scheduled to take place during the coming weeks, potentially on the week-ending May 17th. \u00c9ire \u00d3g have been drawn against Toomevara in the opening round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior A:<\/strong> The junior A team return to league action on Friday, May 1st when Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g host Toomevara in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh at 7pm. \u00c9ire \u00d3g lost their opening league game against Roscrea and would appreciate your support for this encounter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior B:<\/strong> On Sunday, May 3rd the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g junior B hurlers will pay a visit to St Michael\u2019s Park in Toomevara to take on the Greyhounds in a league encounter at 12 noon. The lads have battled gamely throughout this campaign and would really appreciate your support for this contest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minor A:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g minor footballers finished second in their group and will play Kildangan in a north Tipperary minor A football championship semi-final on Thursday, April 30th in Puckane at 7pm. Extra-time will be played in the event of a draw. In their corresponding semi-final Newport Gaels will play Ballina.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Congratulations:<\/strong> Well done to Tommy Heffernan who has been named on the 2015 Rising Stars team of the year. The \u2018Rising Stars\u2019 is an All Star selection for third level colleges players. Tommy Heffernan has been rewarded for his outstanding form on the University of Limerick team which won the Fitzgibbon Cup. For the past twenty-seven years the Tipperary GAA Draw has served the clubs and the people of Tipperary well. A unique Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g branded brochure has been produced to promote this year\u2019s draw. The Tipperary GAA Draw features an extraordinary \u20ac500,000 prize fund. And, don\u2019t forget that your club, Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g, benefits significantly from contributions to the Tipperary GAA Draw. The event will be hosted this year in aid of the North Tipperary Hospice. Entry to the 10K run is priced at \u20ac15 (\u20ac12 pre-registered online), entry to the 5K run is priced at \u20ac10 and entry to the 5K for walkers is priced at \u20ac5 per family. Prizes: \u20ac100 for the first-placed male and female competitor in the 10K, \u20ac50 for the second-placed male and female and \u20ac25 for the third-placed male and female competitors. Matches are being organised so many will soon play their first match for their club. Keep up the great attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Well done to the under-10 players who played an excellent challenge match away to Roscrea in terrible conditions. Training continues at the usual times.<\/p>\n<p>Our under-12 footballers lost out to a very strong Inane Rovers in their under-12A north semi-final on Friday night. Their management were delighted with the players\u2019 attitude and commitment on the field. <\/p>\n<p>The 2015 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g street league kicked off in glorious sunshine on Monday. It will run for a total of four Mondays. The boys and girls on the teams were evenly matched so all saw plenty of action. Well done to the juvenile and camogie club mentors for the great organisation.<\/p>\n<p>The under-14 hurlers travelled to Patrickswell for a challenge on Sunday evening. Although short a number of regulars a very young team performed very well and came away with a comprehensive victory. Man of the match Ben West scored six goals from the edge of the square. We had a bye in the football last week and return to action on Wednesday with a third round clash away to Inane Rovers at 6.30pm. Training continues on Mondays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and on Saturdays from 11am to 12.15pm.<\/p>\n<p>Well done to Se\u00e1n Phelan, Conor Hennessy, Barry Coffey, Cian Griffin, Rory O&#8217;Donovan, Liam Heffernan, Gavin Dooley and Brendan Long who were members of the Nenagh CBS squad which defeated Templemore CBS in the Rice Cup quarter-final on Thursday last. They play \u00c1rdscoil R\u00eds of Limerick in the semi-final.<\/p>\n<p>Well done to our under-16 footballers who have reached the north final following a good win over Borrisokane on Monday night. The lads will face a strong Inane Rovers team in the final following their win over Kilruane. Good luck ladies. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-12:<\/strong> The under-12 girls travelled to Semple Stadium on Saturday last for a blitz and played three entertaining matches against St Catherine\u2019s (Cork), Bodyke (Clare) and St Anne\u2019s (Waterford). We won all our matches and the girls had a fantastic day out.
