Well done to Shane Connolly and Michael McNamara who were members of the management team.<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n<p><strong>SENIOR<\/p>\n<p>Senior:<\/strong> The fixture details for the Blues\u2019 opening game in the 2015 county senior hurling championship have been finalised &#8211; on Sunday, April 12th Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g will face the Templederry Kenyons in St Michael\u2019s Park, Toomevara at 6.30pm. As always your support would be appreciated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior A:<\/strong> Gregg Browne\u2019s junior A hurling team are expected to launch their league campaign this coming weekend. Please keep an eye on the club website and respective social media channels for updates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior B:<\/strong> The first round of the junior B hurling league took place on Saturday. Unfortunately Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g lost to Portroe on a 0-9 to 0-13 scoreline. However, despite suffering a four-point defeat this was a spirited display which the lads can build on. The Watch Centre North Tipperary Junior B Hurling League will be played on a two-group system this year with the top two teams in each progressing to the semi-finals. Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g have been drawn in group one alongside Toomevara, Newport, Shannon Rovers, Moneygall &#038; Portroe. Meanwhile group two features Borrisokane, Ballina, Borris-Ileigh, Lorrha-Dorrha &#038; Kildangan. The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g team are managed this year by Cian Tucker (manager), Mark Long, Paddy Flynn and John Paul King.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minor A:<\/strong> The Blues\u2019 will launch their north Tipperary minor A football championship campaign on Wednesday, April 1st when Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g will host Newport Gaels in MacDonagh Park, Nenagh at 6.30pm. The team are managed by John Manley (manager), Paudie Gleeson, Derek Lillis and Christy McLoughlin. We wish the lads all the very best during the campaign and appeal for your support. Last week Toomevara informed the North Board that they will not be taking part in this year\u2019s competition. It was unanimously decided to re-draw the competition. The following is the amended draw &#8211; group one: Kildangan, Inane Rovers &#038; Ballina; group two: Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g, Newport Gaels &#038; Portroe. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Night with Christy Kenneally:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Healthy Club Project team will host a \u2018Night with Christy Kenneally\u2019 in the Scout\u2019s Hall on Wednesday, April 15th at 8pm. The theme of his talk is \u201cfrom heartbreak to hope\u201d. Admission is priced at \u20ac5 while under-18s will be admitted for free. Wednesday training resumes on April 8th at 5.15pm. Happy Easter to all of our young hurlers and their families from Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-10:<\/strong> There will be no training on Easter Saturday morning. There will be special football training for under-8 and under-10 boys on Tuesday 7th at 6pm. Please bring gumshields. Wednesday training will resume at 5.15pm on April 8th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-12:<\/strong> Well done to our under-12 groups A and D football teams who put in a huge effort away to Ballina on Friday, but came up short. Training continues with hurling training on Mondays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and football training on Wednesdays from 6.30 to 7.30pm. Remember to bring gumshields. Both groups A and D team play at home to Inane Rovers at 6.30pm on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-14:<\/strong> Our under-14 hurlers had a good challenge game against Kilcormac-Killoughey in Kilcormac on Sunday. All panel members got good game time and many thanks to our hosts for their kind hospitality. Well done to Cian O&#8217;Farrell, Se\u00e1n Phelan, Conor Hennessy, Liam Heffernan and Gavin Dooley who were part of the North Tipperary under-14 hurling squad who performed very well at the Peadar Cummins tournament in Borrisoleigh on Saturday. Well done to Shane Connolly and Michael McNamara were part of the management team. Our next competitive action is in the Peil na n\u00d3g football semi-final v Borrisokane on Easter Monday. Training continues on Mondays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Saturdays from 11am to 12.15pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-16:<\/strong> Our under-16 footballers got their championship off to a good start with a 5-14 to 2-5 win over Inane Rovers in Roscrea. This week\u2019s match against Toomevara was cancelled and Nenagh received a bye. The next round match is at home to Borrisokane on April 6th. Congratulations to all members of our under-16 squad who represented the club on divisional squads last weekend. Conor Bonar, Conor McCarthy, Jake Morris and Mark O&#8217;Farrell were members of the North Tipperary under-16 squad who travelled to Clonoulty for the Garda Cup while David Minogue was a selector. Evan Murphy was a member of the victorious North Tipperary under-15 squad who won the Roger Ryan Tournament in Toomevara. Well done also to Eimear Meagher and Eleanor Percy (Lahorna) who competed well in the under-15 doubles final, but lost out to Armagh opposition. The collection will take place in the club house on Saturday, April 18th between 10am and 12 noon. Grace O\u2019Brien, Rachel Maher, Sarah Quigley and Maeve Coffey were the Nenagh representatives on this panel.
